You guys do have some awesome plum wine though.
If it was bought plum liquor, it wasn't nearly as good as the one made at home. It will burn the hair in your nostrils.

Sadly the EU are trying to abolish home made things. But we're rebels and still make them. Because dammit, we're not giving up our booze.

I think Denmarks general view is roughly the same, though it might contain a little more love than im willing to hand out..[footnote]Moderator Edit: Please be more respectful of other countries & people. Thanks![/footnote]
Well that's one way to say it, I have an uncle that moved to America and he mostly says good things about it. (He likes living there with his American wife, but he strongly dislikes the healfcare system)

Country: Australia

I used to work at Maccas, and the Americans that came in to there could almost always be neatly filed under one of three groups.

1: The self-entitled stereotype. Would go completely nuts if you got the order wrong, and would often leave the store yelling loudly. If you took more than 1 minute 20 seconds, the yelling would begin (Seriously. I timed it.)

2: Quiet, usually guys in their early to mid twenties. Sometimes came in with mates or girlfriends. Really nice guys, actually; though they didn't often talk to you, you could get a good convosation out of them sometimes, and they would understand if the milkshake machine was broken or the ice cream needed refilling. They are more likely to pay by cash, too, often in either exact change or a single note, which is exactly what you want if you have a swarm of customers coming through.

3: The kids, generally around 14 to 18. No real difference from any other 14 to 18 except the accent is different. Only become annoying if they walk or ride bikes through drive through, or come and bang on the windows after close.

Maybe it was liquor. I can't recall, but that was part of a bottle, and we ended up drinking that back in 2004. I didn't get to keep the bottle though, it definitely didn't look store bought.

I'm from Denmark and in general the US is viewed as a culturally distant place with a very strange view of justice where people constantly sue each other over ridiculous things.

The Healthcare itself, is amazing(unless you're with Tricare, then you try to get them to pay you to go see somebody else, anybody else).

The payment methods for the system needs to find a very large blender and dive in head first. A system where payment is made by the tests ordered, and the drug adverts, and the insurance companies. It all just needs to be fixed. I think the only way to fix the last two are with firing squads though.

The IMF; Cultural whitewashing; general ignorance; mass-produced ill-health; too many guns.

I'm from UK, would like to go to Arizona, Hawaii or Alaska someday. Oh and see the VFstore in NY ^^
There is nothing in Arizona... believe me I was born there. Although if you insist on visiting Arizona I would suggest leaving your grill at home. You can cook a perfectly decent steak on the hood of your car during the summer.

Generally in New Zealand the views are Americans are: Loud, obnoxious and ignorant. Not sure what I think but I have met a few of the latter.

Wait, what did you buy that was American made? We don't have any of that here.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that I think the New Zealand view is pretty similar to my own(I'm probably looking pretty obnoxious with all of these replies, and I'm not the most cultured guy in the world).

My personal view: (The United States of) America makes some pretty neat stuff, but a lot of what you guys do seems kinda... dumb. Your date system is all wrong, you haven't moved on fully to the metric system yet, it all just seems kind of silly.

Also a lot of "trolls" on the internet seem to be American... just sayin'.

My countries view: Scotland hates the USA with a passion. Okay, that's not true, that's reserved for England (why I am not sure). But most people I ask either think Americans are all idiots, or that most of them are wonderful people. Guess the USA is like marmite? o_O

meh the only reason I give a damn about America is this thread popping up. I don't know much about America except in history and looking at their history no I don't like America. Britain

Lol I got family there. The bits of the US that I wanna see are the wild bits so... I guess it's good there's nowt there?
Yikes that sounds hot!
If you want to see some wild bits you should visit the north Georgia mountains... you'll see some pretty interesting people there to say the least. Also, the best part about the southeast is the geography. Some awesome mountain ranges to see and rivers to raft on.

Depends on the season. Average high temperature during June-September is about 40-41C, though.

I've been to Nevada/Arizona before, and the entire region looks like...well, it's like playing Fallout: New Vegas from the inside of a toaster. Just without the bandits, mutants, and radiation.

We do some stuff right, and we do some stuff wrong. It's just like everybody else(except can't get right North Korea). I don't really get your hate thing you've got with the English. We just kind of slapped them around a few times, and then got all cocky and said a bunch of stupid stuff on the world stage.

Well, I guess that answers that question, maybe? British is pretty vague. I'm going to presume based on the location of Towcester, that you're actually specifically English versus the more generic British(clicking on the more info with Google mapsactually verified that).

I'm from Australia. My government sees the United States (I assume that's what you mean when you say 'America' because our opinions of other American nations might differ - and Canadians hate being called 'Americans' under the same banner as the U.S.) as valuable allies and the army to assist our defence force (we essentially have no army).

Me personally, I like people from the U.S. Some are ignorant about international issues but not all. My closest friend from the U.S. didn't believe we had Christmas in Summer - I can't hate her for that, I hate the education system over there.

I watched a U.S. sitcom that had a clever joke about Australian women in it (a clever joke in a sitcom should be an oxymoron). We have a good sense of humour about ourselves, so keep 'em coming. Had it been a county Australia doesn't like (like England), I probably would've taken it personally.

For being so full of kind and sociable people, not to mention the intellectual elite of the world, ignorance and stupidity permeates much of American society. I can't actively like or respect a nation which allows the hypocrisy and ignorance of the Christian right as much power as it has, and I'm just too sick of it to even care anymore. China, here I come!

I'm from England and well some Americans can be very full of themselves from past experience just because there american.
But they do make a lot of my favorite video games and movies, so gotta give them some credit for that.

Well, I know not all Americans are complete and utter douche bags. So overall opinion is there alright however they can be abit full of themselves at time.

There are Americans and then there are smart Americans.
I enjoy American people, I really do. But sometimes they just don't realize how rude they are towards people from other cultures. And the constant yelling and praising of "America is #1", is some how so cold war.
I like Americans who can accept the fact that their country does have issue, every country does, and that the issues are not only because of some other political party being in house.

I like Americans, but I would like them more if they would honestly broaden their view a bit and realize that there indeed are different cultures that function differently and people are happy there.

Also: Note to all Americans who visit Finland or any Scandinavian country. We are all equals here, the fact that you are a customer doesn't give you right to boss the employees of the the service you are using.
And also; Finland doesn't tip, it is not because we are ripping off the work force, it is because they get paid really well and also because of Laws and taxing systems and most of all - it is not part of our culture.

Also. America: Stop getting in to other peoples problems, fix yours first.
