I never have a problem sleeping. When I was 8 I fell asleep on a cessna and a speed boat on a different occasion. That's why I'm appropriately named sloth, because I'm lazy and sleep constantly.

Reading a piece of non-fiction tends to do it for me. Just a couple of pages and I'm out like a light. Works 9 times out of 10...problem is on the 10th time, if it doesn't work, I'm scuppered.

It's either that or an increasing sense of frustration with the world.
Probably a side effect of sleep deprivation.
Or both, knowing me.
I get especially angered when sleep deprived, so society pisses me off more than normal.
And then I become more anti-social...
Heh. I get the same way.
Although my posts seem to benefit from me babbling more.
If it wouldn't really screw me over in school, I'd do it much more often.

Angry people online are entertaining!

No, I was saying that the difference between becoming addicted to sleeping pills and not using them is that at least I'd be able to sleep if I were an addict.
Ah, I see.
Then yes, you probably should use sleeping pills.
I do not consider my insomnia yet bad enough (to even be diagnosed, though I'm certain I have it. There's no need to go through all the fuss of having my parents find out about this and lecturing me.) to try sleeping pills. I can sleep, just... Not when society thinks I should.
So, I do without.

Angry people online are entertaining, yes. But only when you are up to arguing with them if they have a valid point. Otherwise, they are another annoyance.
It would definitely screw me over in school if I stayed here more often. For example, I have a math test tomorrow and I haven't really been paying attention all unit, so I think I'm screwed, and I should be studying. I have no will for it, though.
But, I think I don't have to do anything on Friday, so it will be a day of (an attempt of) catching up on sleep and being here. T'will be fun.

Here's a tip:
Take a baseball bat and hit yourself in the head as hard as you can. Now call a hospital. By the time you're done explaining what happened to the doctor you'll be tired enough to get to sleep easy. It works for me...

But really, you should try reflecting on your day. Think of ways it could have been better.

Well, not even when they're arguing.
Sometimes just their one line responses can be funny.
And I will see you here!
I think.

I drink a lot of coffee during the day so that I crash by the end of the night. It's the only think that has worked for me yet.

I just take a few pills and relax. Unfortunately sometimes it doesn't work. Either I've been getting plenty of sleep, or I have been deprived of sleep for so long that I can't tell the difference anymore.
Where am I?

I tend to find a boring book... like my text books for class. They generally do the trick. Turning off my computer and just close my eyes. I eventually go to sleep. Counting in your head might help too. I've done that and it helps sometimes.

Count sheep.
I shit you not, it works damn good for me. I always thought it was bullshit, but it's amazing. Lay in bed, close your eyes, and count sheep until your out.

Try it. I can almost never get past seventy. My record is sixty. =D

I see room for some sort of combination here...

Generally I just lie there and think about shit until I'm unconscious.
That's actually a great game.

Take 2 sleeping pills and see if you can whack off before you fall asleep!

Quickly run down to your local Walgreens pharmacy, get some Excedrin PM, and try it!!!

Best part about the game is that you always win.

But they run the risk of making yourself dependant on sleeping pills to sleep, and thus you can't sleep if you don't take any...
So I wouldn't recommend them.
I don't think so, only the first sleeping medicine that was invented really made that noticeable. You can ask your doctor if you don't believe me. Other than that, you can try herbal sleeping pills, they work for some people.

Ah, is that so? I might be mistaken, then.
I was under the impression that they could be just like any other drug, where if you have too much of it or take them for too long you build up more of an immunity to it. Hence why some kids with ADHD are taking possibly lethal doses of meds just to focus for a little bit.

I could be wrong, but from what I've read in my various internet searches about insomnia, sleeping pills have the potential to become the only way a person can sleep.
