Honestly never expected a character like Cap to work on the big screen. But imo, this already looks better than Thor or Geen Lantern (which admittedly isn't hard).

He may seem cheesy as first glance but Cap is badass.

Okay, that picture is badass, but it's missing something...

Oh wait, I know... THIS:

I can't be the only one who thought of this.

You know, you can probably copy all of the trailers that they release for films nowadays onto iMovie, and cut and paste them until you have the full film

So, it's got Hugo Weaving and Tommy Lee Jones in it? [small]Oh, and some comic superhero I guess[/small]
Good one! ;)

OT: I could never imagine a Captain America movie could work, especially since we tend to roll our eyes at stories revolving around American chest-thumping patriotism. But this looks bad-ass!

I hope they transform Chris Evans into Cap in the first five minutes of the film, because the CGI-weakling Steve Rogers is incredibly visually off-putting. I was sick of it in that trailer alone.

This is pretty much the only movie I'm looking forward to in 2011 (seriously, after an amazing 2010 we seem to be in a drought for good movies).

Trailer didn't disappoint, watched it earlier, looks absolutely awesome and have been wanting a new Captain America movie for years.

Just further proves my theory that a story regardless if it's movie, book or videogame is nothing without good characters.

The section where the group burst through the door, looks like the furthest on the left is wearing a British Commando Beret and wielding a Sten Gun. So the brits at least look like they are going to get a mention.
If we don't, just console yourself that they shot part of the movie here, so they definitely couldn't do THAT without us!

I can't be the only one who thinks this guy has an eerie similarity to Kenneth Parcell of 30 Rock.

Anyway...That movie looks pretty badass. I'm gonna predict that it'll be about as good as Iron Man: Not amazing or anything, but certainly worth the time it took to watch it. A fun action movie.
He does look amazingly similar. Also, Iron Man was pretty damn amazing. I'd love for it to be as good as that.

OT: Looks interesting... but because of how long it has taken just to get this out... I'm wondering what to expect. Thor has been whored out for months while this movie has barely been mentioned. Little suspicious.

My one minor complaint: That we have to wait until AFTER the 4th of July to see it. It can't just be me that thinks that this could have been the perfect 4th of July Weekend movie.

Thank you so much for that.

Pretty good looking trailer; not much can drag me to the theaters nowadays, though. Fourteen dollars a ticket gets pretty ludicrous with an eight-person group. Still, I'll catch it on Netflix if nothing else - maybe even watch the other movies, while I'm at it.

So wait... is he CGI when he's skinny, or did they get a lookalike? I'm confused.

Oh god this film looks fantastic. I really hope Evans pulls off the proper Cap energy that was shown so well in The Ultimates comic book
Tommy Lee Jones, Howard Stark and, by the looks of it, the Skrull (I noticed an alien-looking spacecraft)!!!

Transformers 3 took the 4th of July slot.
