56 out of 100? Quite privileged??

What kind of black person am I???

Then again, some of these questions involved situations I have never been in either way... How will I know if some of those non-privileged benefits would happen if I ever wanted to fly on an airplane?? Or if I ever had a partner-in-dating??

I mostly feel flawed than privileged at this point...

24/100.

I'm white, and I've never been discriminated against for my religion, because no one ever asks about it.
That's a privilege now? I just think this quiz is full of crap. Sure, I marked the things that are true, but I don't feel like some sort of victim. Because I'm not. Shit happens.

35/100. I never figured smoking all that pot back in the day and all those student loans would lead me down the path of unprivilege.

29/100, but there were a lot of questions I couldn't answer because they're non applicable to me or I don't have an answer for them (mostly the ones about sexuality). I think if I had a full set of answer for those questions i'd get a different score, but the binary nature of these questions will make if difficult to get an honest answer out of a lot of people.

Based on the scores other people have posted, the priveliged or not thing also seems to be a binary answer.

I think all this "privileged quotent" is absurd because the very idea of its use is to put people into some "Victimhood olypmics" where the most suffered person gets to automatically win any argument because of skin color or particular gender. Because "checking" your privilege means never disagreeing with someone who's a bigger victim
Hey, the first rule of Privilege Club is: You don't talk about Privilege Club.

Seriously though, you're quite right. While "Privilege" may have a technical definition, in modern discourse it's generally just shorthand for "I don't want to engage with your perspective, so I'll just dismiss it based on my preconceptions of who you are."

Interesting that the quiz had no questions about military service, or experience with the justice system. Probably because it's just a tool aimed at white kids on the Internet, intended to make them feel bad about being white kids on the Internet.

I like to think there are people in Syria, Mexico, or the dodgier parts of Eastern Europe who are reading this quiz and laughing their heads off.

42/100.

A lot of this is kind of americanised though, so I'm not sure my rating is accurate.
Also some of it is more complicated.
Like, I ticked `I have no student loans` ... because I don't have higher education.
And most of the religion ones went unticked cause I don't have one.

So yeah, I would probably say my score should have been higher.

48/100.

I think it's saying i'm not privileged because i'm unemployed and have had issues in the past with my identity- Namely I was thinking of how I was bullied in school for my nerdy friends and interests. Although I think the quiz intended "identity" to mean something something else- Possibly religious or national identity.

Obviously the quiz has it's flaws (who on earth has a car in high school outside of America?) but it served its purpose of being 5 minutes of entertaining procrastination.

31/100.

Man. As a white male, I expected to score a lot higher. I guess being poor (at various times), bi and previously gender-confused tanked me hard.

"You're not very privileged."
Context:
African-American Female (who has light skin), no strict sexual identity though I lean mostly towards asexual, never been employed, college student, no known mental or physical health issues. I'm 5 ft, and weigh about 130lbs, I live alone with one parent (the father) who has a stable job, that I rely on, and we've never had any money issues (yet).

Meh, I'm not sure about this number, I consider myself to be quite privileged actually. If only because my life really is so cosy outside of my ethnicity and gender I suppose. I've never really traveled out of the country, but that's because I mostly don't want to.

You live with 83 out of 100 points of privilege.

Guess having a stable family and financial situation and no disabilities or identity troubles makes me the bane of Tumblr. Ah well.

That is a very American survey. "I can afford medication when I need it"? Well, yeah,I can. It's free in Wales.

Otherwise, 53/100. Thought it would be higher. To be fair, there were number of answers I wouldn't really answer due to things working differently here, like the aforementioned medication one, and the taxes one.

I got 52/100.
The test is very flawed though, it assumes you have a SO and a religion.
How can I be attacked for my religion when I do not have one?
I basically got +10 privilege for being an atheist and +10 more for not being in a relationship, no wonder everybody scores high.
Also the "are you white" question was not exactly a subtle way to hide their perspective on privilege.

34 out of 100, which seems low, to be honest.

Many of the questions were geared towards Americans though.

You live with 84 out of 100 points of privilege.

You're among the most privileged people in the world. We don't live in an ideal world, but you happened to be born into an ideal lot. This is not a bad thing, nor is it something to be ashamed of. It just means a lot of other people in the world don't live life with the advantages you have, and that's something you should always be aware of. Hey, the fact that you took the time and effort to check your privilege means that you're already trying.
