I love this revelation but I do hope there is a new and smaller Batmobile. Don't get me wrong, I love the Tumbler as a batmobile but it just doesn't seem like something to stick with. Especially with the notoriety that Bats is going to be trying to shed coming in this next story.

Anyone else excited for the Avengers film?
I'm keeping my enthusiasm down but I feel confident it will at least be a fun watch. E-specially with the chance of Chris Evans sharing the screen with Robert Downey, Jr, in polar opposite roles. Thinking about that gives me the shivers. Don't know Chris Evans? Just watch the first Fantastic Four and the Losers. Then you can see what kind of Steve Rogers we are in for.
This may just help bring Civil War to the big screen. Hero vs Hero.

This is most grand news.

I think it's going to fail. I don't expect anyone to top Heath Ledger's performance, and I doubt the third can survive without such strong star power.
I agree but I hope that it will be just as good.
Continuing the franchise shouldn't have to diminish the work that has been done so far. I still enjoy Batman Begins just as much even after the spectacular effort put into Dark Knight. What will make the formula work is that there is every effort made not to emulate what was done in Dark Knight, but letting the story work on its own and whatever new performers that come in are not expected to be another Heath Ledger. That's one thing that let Batman Returns work: Danny Devito wasn't expected to outperform or emulate Jack Nicholson(number 3 Joker in my book, Mark Hamill being number 2), therefore allowing him to make a very memorable Penguin.
I, for one, think it is high time a certain catburglar(and I mean catburglar, not a neurotic 9 to 5 catlady) came on the scene. We can save the short umbrella collector for number four.

Who the hell are they gonna make the villain in a 3rd batman movie, I dont think Mr.Freeze and the Penguin will catch the eyes as much as the Joker did
Well he actually specifically said those two weren't possible as they couldn't be taken seriously :p

The rumours are it is the riddler, which they could do some really interesting stuff with.

As good as this news is, I'm not surprised. Nolan seems to be pretty well enamored with the whole Batman mythos, so I'd be amazed if he didn't want to make the 3rd movie. Still, with how phenomenal The Dark Knight and Inception were, I'm unimaginably excited to see this film.

It depends. Mr. Freeze is always going to be lame, but the Penguin could work out well. That is, if they use the original version of that villain. He was more like a gang boss than the ridiculous character he became in the cartoons and films.

Personally, I'm hoping Bane makes an appearance. He's one of the only villains, save the Joker, to ever actually defeat (and nearly kill) Batman.

They should bring in Catwoman, and focus more on her burglary and less of her sexiness. The Riddler seems like a pretty realistic character to beginw with

It's funny, I just had a dream that the 3rd Nolan Batman movie came out, for several weeks. Despite having watched TDK maybe a thousand times, I still hadn't seen it in my dream.

I think hell make a great film but you can tell from the Dark Knight that the Joker was supposed to be a major part of the third movie but we'll never know how great that could have been

Riddler, I'm sceptical but the Joker turned cool? The Riddler should be possible.

heath ledger did a good job with the joker, but its by no means the best acting i have ever seen. if they hire a good actor for the villain, im not worried about dark knight overshadowing this movie.

i loved dark knight but one thing really annoyed me about it, two face. i feel like they pulled a spiderman 3, where they introduce a popular villain for like the last 15 minutes, and then kill him off. that didnt detract from the movie, it was still the best movie ive seen in a long time. its just that two face is my favorite batman villain and i feel they could have done so much more with him. i think we can all agree that arnold schwarzenegger need to come back and play mr. freeze again, "do you know what killed the dinosaurs...? the ice age!" hahahahaha (please, no one take that seriously). or, he could just play a douchebag politician who's trying to kill video games

This is very good news indeed. I can be happy now the film is once again in the hands of a brilliant director.

My money is on Calendar Man for the villain!

Seriously though, I think that riddler seems like a good fit. Although I would love to see a Bane appearance...

Avengers, Thor, Nolan's own Superman: Man of Steel, Green Lantern, Antman, Green Hornet, Spiderman, Deadpool, X-Men: First Class, R.E.D. ...
I have to say that of these, Avengers is the only one I'm reasonably certain will be worth seeing. I have some hopes for Thor, and Nolan's a capable enough director that his Superman might be worth a look. As for the rest... Time will tell, but what we've seen on many of them doesn't exactly make me leap for joy.

Michael C. Hall needs to be the riddler, I'm tired of Johnny Depp... and he would make a better villain than most people seem to think...
