The first movie didn't have Heath Ledger, and it was still absolutely amazing.icyneesan said:Who the hell are they gonna make the villain in a 3rd batman movie, I dont think Mr.Freeze and the Penguin will catch the eyes as much as the Joker did
Well, he theoretically still could be a heavy influence in the third one, if they decide to bring in a jilted Harley Quinn, who happens to become Bruce Wayne's love interest while at the same time hunting down Batman for bring down the Joker. Maybe a big fight at the end when Wayne feels comfortable enough to tell her that he is the Batman.cabalistics said:I think hell make a great film but you can tell from the Dark Knight that the Joker was supposed to be a major part of the third movie but we'll never know how great that could have been
Selina Kyle. His love interest was just killed and Batman is teetering between the vigilante and criminal role in the eyes of Gotham for killing Dent. Who is better than someone to confuse him more?icyneesan said:Who the hell are they gonna make the villain in a 3rd batman movie, I dont think Mr.Freeze and the Penguin will catch the eyes as much as the Joker did
ROCK ON!!! But let's keep Bane until we can do the Broken Bat ark. That way he's not some henchman but actually a strategic mastermind. I would also like to see what he would do with the Hatter taking a glance back at Batman Begins and Scarecrow.Brnin8 said:My money is on Calendar Man for the villain!
Seriously though, I think that riddler seems like a good fit. Although I would love to see a Bane appearance...
Callate said:R.E.D is DEFINITELY on the list of movies to see... for the Karl Urban factor alone. But I'll be interested to see if the Riddler makes the final cut on Nolan's third film and who he gets to play the role. I'm still gunning for David Tennant.Avengers, Thor, Nolan's own Superman: Man of Steel, Green Lantern, Antman, Green Hornet, Spiderman, Deadpool, X-Men: First Class, R.E.D. ...
I think his role in Gamer (which was otherwise terrible) pretty much confirmed he'd the best villain ever.CheapLobster said:Michael C. Hall needs to be the riddler, I'm tired of Johnny Depp... and he would make a better villain than most people seem to think...
I was blown away like everyone else with Ledger's performance, but I can't help but feel that his death gave his performance more punch than it would have by itself. Also, I know there was quite the uproar when Ledger was first announced as the next Joker. Nobody believed that he had the right feel, but he surprised us all. I wouldn't count out the next one based solely on an absense of Ledger.Hubilub said:I think it's going to fail. I don't expect anyone to top Heath Ledger's performance, and I doubt the third can survive without such strong star power.
I'm not as knowledgeable as I should be concerning Batman's universe, but I'm pretty sure that the Riddler consistently outsmarted Batman whenever they locked horns. I'm waiting patiently to be corrected.Vigormortis said:Personally, I'm hoping Bane makes an appearance. That is true, though most of Batman's villains outsmarted him at some point or another. They kind of had to otherwise where's the danger and drama? However, what I was referring to was the tale in which Bane damn near kills Batman. Literally shatters Bruce's spine. He eventually recovers, but much of Gotham (and the rest of world) goes to hell in the interim.Dirty Apple said:I'm not as knowledgeable as I should be concerning Batman's universe, but I'm pretty sure that the Riddler consistently outsmarted Batman whenever they locked horns. Not at all. Frankly, I don't think anything in that list can come close to garnering the kind of public attention a Batman movie with the tag-line "from the director of The Dark Knight and Inception" could. The Dark Knight is the 3rd highest grossing film in history. You don't achieve that with a film that's just 'good' or 'kind of popular'.Good morning blues said:The last paragraph in this article seems really out of place. Does anyone really think that "Antman" or "R.E.D." pose a serious threat to another Christopher Nolan Batman movie?
