A desk.

Sorry if you were typing on your laptop on a bearskin rug there

Because I'm a meanie I added the Raven line as homage to Alice in Wonderland's riddle:

"Why is a raven like a writing desk?" Which insinuates there is something in common with both a raven and a desk, even if it is an unanswerable riddle

Was hoping someone would make the connection there though. But that's what I get for trying to come up with my own riddles...

I say have another go. Give me more time to think up a more logical riddle o_0

I actually am using a dresser to put my computer on, and I haven't seen anything Alice in Wonderland related except for Kingdom Hearts (which I'm actually playing right now, hence by previous riddle) since I was, I don't know, 5 or 6.

Okay, here's one.

It is filled with everything, and yet at the same time filled with nothing.
We know a lot about it, yet we know so little at the same time.
So much of it seems so chaotic, yet there is an order to it.

You know, you nearly stumped me. I didn't even notice you weren't capitalizing words until I thought about it for a while.

I'll go with one I think should be easy:

It is the realm of sadists, altruists, geniuses, and fools.
Anarchy reigns there, but sometimes there are rules enforced with an iron fist.
Much joy may be found there, but also endless hatred.
Beings like Gods reign there, but they are no better than the ones over which they rule.

I doubt this is it, but the only thing that comes to mind is oranges for some reason.

Heh, I swear I read it wrong. My reading was that you do eventually want to get rid of your children by allowing them to leave the nest as it were.
