we'll all have to be suspect of friends' "in a relationship" posts in the future....

Considering many of my fiends are "divorced" or "widows" or "in a serious relationship" with friends, I already doubt it

I dont see why people are ripping on this?

Its like buying a fancy car to impress people. Some people want to keep up appearances. Or just have a girl friend so people will get off their ass. Ive seen people get ridiculed because they dont have a girl friend or choose to be single, this is a good "screw you" to all those assbags who havent grown out of highschool mindsets.

As for this service... I would honestly think about using it. Just because my ex is smarmy and thinks she's hot shit in a champaign glass. A new girlfriend, this soon, would be the ultimate "screw you" to her.

Besides a few highschool-esque things (impressing people, getting back at exes), the only practical use I could see for this is a fake girlfriend for closeted homosexuals.

First Thought: What is this I don't even...

Second Thought: Hmm I wonder just how crazy I could set the parametres, this could be a hilarious way to really make someone's day just a little a little more surreal, "Oh look, V has a new girlfriend, isn't that...oh dear..."

Third Thought: ???

Fourth Thought: PROFIT!!!

P.S. Who's the genius who thought putting bloody -accents- in the captcha was a good idea!?

That is just plain sad.

That being said I'm going to go in and try to break the system by creating some bizzare leprechaun drunken nymphomaniac banjo player of a woman. I wonder if that will work.

This has got to be the saddest and most inconsequential thing I have ever fucking read...

"FUCK YEAH! I CAN NOW BRAG ABOUT A GIRLFRIEND I DON'T HAVE TO PEOPLE THAT DON'T CARE!"

They need to cater this market to the lonely teenage girl who doesn't have a boyfriend as well. I know for a fact many high school aged girls would take advantage of a service like this.

I'll stick to a real boyfriend, though. Seems less... creepy.

Man and society had just begun to creep away from the stigma of being single.

Here it comes again. People having to buy a relationship so their married friends who are completely miserable will get OFF THEIR BACKS about settling down.

Oh... I guess that rant had been festering.

Still this is pretty disgusting.

This seems really bad to me. Especially as the "girlfriend" would then presumably have to be a friend of the sad person who has created her? Which potentially gives access to information of hundreds of thousands of people?

I mean, I'm serious - one of the privacy settings of facebook is "friend of a friend". Which means that cloud girlfriend can then harvest any information it wants from you, because one of your friends has a HIDDEN fake friend.

Now, I have extremely little information on facebook anyway. And I don't use the friend of a friend setting.. And cloud girlfriend could well be/stay legitimate throughout its existence.. But that doesn't mean it isn't the beginning of a precedent. And that those that follow won't abuse the system.

"Due to high demand we are only able to accommodate a limited number of users to the site. Register early to get in line."

I don't even know why I still try to live here.
