So I suppose caucasians don't cheat either, because we're all tan and red and pink.

But honestly, that's ridiculious. Even if this was somehow true, I doubt it would have to do with race.

@OP
I think your efforts are commendable.

I am sorry that your sister has such an odd prejudice. (Prejudice in general is bad, but some are harder to disprove.)

I have a suggestion: Ask her why.
Ask her thoroughly and Socratically; poke her beliefs; demand answers, if not now then at some point just think about it.

Investigating peoples beliefs with the Socratic method can solve a lot of problems, and it does not hurt to have statistics ready to disprove their claims.

If you want to bring out the heavy guns, go read up on rationalistic thinking and avoiding mental pitfalls.

I'm of the mind to let her live with this delusion. There's no harm in only dating those kinds of guys. And really, if/when the day comes where they DO cheat on her, well, she'll learn herself (the best way of learning) that she was wrong. No amount of stepping in to do right by her will help- star wars would give you a dark side point for all your good intentions.

That is a direct quote from my (white English) sister as to the reason why she only dates Arabic, African & similar men. She is adamant that white men are going to cheat on their spouse / partner while coloured men will not.
Textbook stupidity combined with racism. No other words for it.
Indeed, but in this case there IS a middle finger big enough. He should let it lie, wait until he's married (being sure to acquire the biggest, most ostentatious wedding ring possible) put his ring on the middle finger, and give sister said finger in a loud and showy manner.

In all seriousness though, where did this stereotype come from? I mean I thought the stereotype (for the few that would still hold it this late in the game) was that ethnicities were coming into our homes and stealing our wimminz and dishonoring them. Really, it sounds like PC gone mad. "Look, I'm not racist! People of minorities are perfect!" Either that, or she has an attraction to black people and whatnot (which isn't racist, though it could be a little superficial) which she's having trouble admitting?

...Wow. "Coloured?" Really? You couldn't think of anything better to name this topic?
It's a quote from his friend, and honestly I wonder why people have started saying "colored" or "people of color" again.

I have seen many episodes of Maury Povich and Jerry Springer that would disagree with this assertion.
XD

That's just hilarious.

Well, white people are fucking bastards. Heh. But dastardly deeds have never been exclusively white.

Seems like she needs to meet a higher quality of white males instead of making generalizations. Used to work with a guy (black) who was cheating on his wife with a Turkish woman.

Riskay would beg to differ. But really, trying to falsify this generalization is as much a waste of time as it is to falsify any other blatantly baseless and opinionated generalization.

Ot: Society has more influence on whether or not someone will cheat than race. Perhaps people raised in an African or middle eastern community are taught that monogamy is more important. Or something.
This exacly what ran througj my mind. I actually think this offended me some... Until i rememberd that white and black technically not colors... But still .

OT: so what OP? She can chose who she dates no? Is there a rule that she must be attracted to white people? I'm black and have never , dated , slept with , kissed or even held hands with a black girl. I don find them attractive , that's all , i'm not going to date them just because we are both black. Is there a reason you don't want her dating a 'colored 'man?( i cant believed, just said colored ). I think OP might be racist without realising it.

What the hell? That's the weirdest reason I've ever heard to date anyone. It also has a bit of whiff of racism about it to me, against whites actually. How faithful you are has nothing to do with race.
Well of this has a wiff of racism about it , i guess gay men are sexist ... Quick someone call the femenists!

Wow you have a racist sister. I could argue evolution but it's a lot easier to call her a stupid racist *****, just because you'll fuck Achmed doesn't mean your not racist.

I'd even accept the more shallow (but true) 'I like the skin color of "exotic" people better' than her argument.

Thats just silly. Everyone Cheats. Positive racism is still racism. Why don't people ever think about individuals as individuals?

I got the idea that it's a bit of a culture amongst young black and Asian guys to see women, particularly white women who their parents may not approve of, as meat, especially due to the portrayal of women in hip-hop culture, which is primarily followed by young black people and a lot of young Asian people.
White consumers make up a larger majority of rap album sales than black consumers.
Liking the music doesn't mean you're wrapped up in the culture, though.

I think he is just trying to say that anyone can cheat. His sister didn't say just she was attracted to black men, she said white men couldn't be trusted and black men could. If she would just admit that she finds darker skin more attractive I don't think we would have an issue, but she said that darker that darker skin makes you an inherently more moral person, and that is a problem.

It's a direct quote of her words, not mine. Hence the title.
We got that, I think so many people only called you up on it because you then used it a couple of more times at the end of your post in your own words. I guess you were trying to use it ironically but it just wasn't clear enough is all. :p
