I'm sure this PC I'm using right now has a few on it - but that's just cause I need to update the virus software.

My bro destroyed a computer at least 3 times due to P2P programs. After several reinstalls, she just gave up.

Personally, none. But the family computer has gone kaptuzen a time or two. My personal laptop is virus free even after looking at some material of a certain variety I won't specify. Why? Linux, unlike Windows and Mac, doesn't get viruses.

Plenty of viruses, but I've never lost a computer to them. Worst I've had to do was re-install a machine then re-add my backup data. Not even a hard task. I have computers dedicated to doing the tasks I feel might contain viruses so that computers that are actually needed don't get them.

Lost one back in the day ('98 or '99), had to take one in to be fixed, and fixed 2 at home.

THE SBEMAIL TITLED VIRUS ON HOMESTARRUNNER DOT-awww, ninjaed.

No, I've never had a computer succumb to a virus, mind you I'm incredibly careful with what I download and I rarely use my email adress.

I had a '95 box that may have been killed by a virus. At least the Windows part of it; DOS still worked fine. And it might have been taken down by me screwing with QBasic, too.

Never lost a computer to viruses.

I've got good firewall and anti-virus I use frequently.

It tends to help, I don't think I've ever gotten any serious viruses on this computer. And since my current computer is simply a reincarnation of my previous computer - I've been replacing them part by part since like year 2000, so now there isn't even an original piece left, so I can consider it my only computer.

But then it's like deep, maaan.
