In self-defense, revenge or defense of another, I could easily kill a scumbag.
I've never been averted to the idea, and I don't think, unless unjustified, I'd ever even regret it.
If someone was endangering my loved ones in a serious way then I could. But in cold blood or other circumstances, I would very much doubt it. I hope a situation never arises where I'd have to even consider it.
For the right reasons, everyone could, although it's also a matter of intruments, like I'm not able to kill someone in a fistfight if my opponent is twice my size and knows kung fu.... But if I have a gun, and my opponent is tied down, I'd be able to kill him, but again, for the right reasons. Stalin, you bet, Gandhi? No way!
Yes, yes I could Kill someone, i would say about a an 8th of the global population deserves to die what with all the horrible violence, murder of innocents rape and other assorted crimes against humanity
I could. And would given the proper justification. (I might have a few plans ^_^ )
Never in cold blood though.
Justification could be personal, but if I do ever end up killing someone it would probably be in self defense. I'm definitely getting a license to carry when I turn 21.
Having served (and killed for) my country in areas of combat, I know that I could (and have) kill another human being. It never gets easier with time or the more you kill, but i can say that distance makes all the difference. Tipping the turban (forgive me for what we called it) from 1000 yards with a Barret 50 cal is a lot easier than having to slip a cord over their head and twisting yourself so they squirm on your back with their feet thrashing in the air. You literally feel the life leaving their body (p.s. sometimes if your not lucky, they shit all over your back). I once wrote a post on what it feels like to kill, and you can check it out, I believe the thread was "Have you ever killed someone?" Let me finish by saying, if you aren't face to face, and they aren't right in front of you, you can distance yourself and your mentality from them and from the task at hand. If not it matters little, you will live even when they do not. It helps to talk to someone who has shared these experiences and they will be able to help you in ways that friends and family may never understand.
