They aren't even remotely difficult, but God I'm just bloody sick of Zubats. GO AWAY. YOU'RE NOT EVEN USEFUL.

As far as enemies that are annoyingly difficult, I'm sure I'll think of one later.
Now, THAT is a quotable comment right there. I've played basically every Pokemon game, and I'm SICK to DEATH of Zubats.

That's in my top 3 reasons why Black and White were awesome, no more Zubats. (also, no more forced water routes, thank god)

Oh man I was just thinking about this very topic. The Lobotomites from Old World Blues. I am so sick of being shot by brush guns where two or three lucky shots kills me. I hate those bastards.

Conan end boss and that big fuck-off monster Elizabeth Greene monster in prototype.

They're the last two I can recall raging at however once you've beat them I feel pretty confident I could do it again no sweat.

Although I think General RAAM (Gears) is the boss I had the most retries on ever but once I had it, it was and is easy.

I've mentioned this is another thread, but it warrants another mention.

The worm boss from Lost Odyssey. A giant worm with backup of six regular monsters. The little monsters charge themselves and the big worm shoots a laser when its charged which is stupidly overpowered and hits all of your squad without fail. Why not kill the insects to stop it from charging? The insects respawn, so attacking them is utterly pointless. Also, sometimes (read, often) they attack you with a force attack, which at this stage in the game can kill any party member in one hit. And once you break through the worms defences and kill it, another one spawns with full health.

This is the second boss battle in the game. It took me weeks to beat.

Seriously, FUCK that boss. There was no skill involved in my victory, just sheer blind luck.

I'm going to have to go with Deathclaws and Regenerators. If I never see them again, I'm okay with that.

Gracious and Glorious from Bayonetta...

fuck you both... fuck you both until the Rapture...
They are some of my favorite enemies to fight. Why? It's a test of if you can play the game. If you can't beat Gracious/Glorious without dying or using items, you're not playing the game properly.

Of course, the special ones that disable Witch Time are really awful, but still doable.

BUT if I never fight another poison headcrab in my life, it will be too soon. I hate those friggin' things. They're usually used as monster closets with regular or fast headcrabs, so it's a cheap way of screwing over the player with no justification. RESPAWNING poison headcrabs?!? Screw you, Newell. Screw. You.

Also the flying bugs in Halo 2 onwards. They're terrible enemy design. About half the guns haven't got a chance of hitting, or if they do just can't do damage (especially the plasma pistols they drop, which are useless against them in swarms.) They fly up out of nowhere (AGAIN) in monster closet situations. They swarm around and fire from impossible angles that make taking cover impossible. They're usually mixed with regular enemies, which means while you're shooting them, you're not seeing the grenade landing in your lap. Also Fuel Rod Cannon Brutes from Halo 3 on are overpowered as crap.

I can't remember the name, and I won't have anything to do with the game but its the end boss of the ruins where you get your ship in FFXIII. He just kept shielding himself and it had a time limit, and if you failed you got to listen to his long intro every time. I had multiple attempts where he was in defense stance for 60% of the fight and the variety of character skills is minimal because you haven't even unlocked all the options for all the people. Terrible game even more terrible boss... Maybe the other boss that you fight 3 times (the dragon thing with all the guns) because its the same fight every time and you fight him with no story or reasoning.

Worst game ever... Yes, Yes it is!
trick to that fight is put bad status on him while you buff yourself the switch to rav rav com then back to medic sab and the buf one.
You can beat him in like 6 mins, every boss is easy in that game once you debuf them and buf your self.

Hardest boss i have thought was sephiroth in kingdom hearts and the most enoying enemy was that worm guy from resident evil outbreak

Duriel. A thousand times Duriel.
Good choice, ever since I started playing Hardcore I've grown to hate Duriel with a passion.

I'd say Kinships from Bayonetta. They're not fun to fight, they're not especially hard but they do drain your health quite a bit and in a game where health regen items are as rare as in Bayonetta that is not a good thing.

Gracious and Glorious are the ones that disable WT, the normal ones are just Grace and Glory.

anyone you have to fight mono-a-mono in final fantasy tactics. they all have abilities that knock off 95% of your health in one hit (if not over 100%), so all you can do is heal yourself and run away. you have to use some cheap strategy to defeat them and until you figure out what that is, you have to keep reloading your game and watching their dialog over and over again.
I would agree, but the "cheap tactic" is the SAME for every one of these. Every FFT boss can be crushed with the same tactic.

-Have either Accumulate or Yell or both. Or any move that boosts a stat.
-Run away and boost it a million times. Keep running away. If the boss can still hit you, equip Item and bring x-potions.
-Ruin the boss completely with your now-invincible, stat-boosted superman.

This works on every boss I've ever seen in FFT. An alternate strategy is to use Orlandu, also known as the single most broken (non-missable) thing in any Final Fantasy game, ever.

Giant radscorpions and spore carriers from New Vegas. The former because they're absolutely disgusting and the latter for their tendency to jump you from behind.

Blackwings in Last Remnant near the beginning.

That curse they cast pisses me off to no end. It took me a while before I figured out how to deal with it.

Frogs from Metal Gear 4. They just cant stand still damnit! You cant sneak up on them either! And I always feel kinda bad when I hear their death scream. Reminds me they are just ordinary women behind that suit.

The British commandos who show up in a flashback in:
{COD: Black Ops}
I just remember thinking, "Wait, I didn't sign up for this!" For a while, I tried getting through by knee-capping them and dashing past, but in the end just said "Feck it! I'll just pretend they're all from Blackpool."

Yukari Takeba and Mitsuru Kirijo in Persona 3 FES

Both of them were freakin' hard, and I'm a HUGE Yukari fanboy so...I found it hard to fight her.

Last, but by no means least, Vergil and Sanctus of Devil May Cry 3 & 4 respectively. Two of the most annoying bosses to fight that I have ever encountered. Which has just reminded me of those Blaze clones from Streets of Rage...
I agree wholeheartedly about Sanctus. Not HARD to take down, just annoying.
Think it's worth giving a nod to the Saviour from that game too - bloody pain in the bum to kill. I would actually pay to skip that level...
Oh, and the dice game if that's allowed? Most annoying...thing...in the history of the universe. Expecially in the second-to-last mission, where there's a whole damn room of it. When I saw it for the first time, I cried.... :'(

Mind if I ask why you thought Vergil was annoying to fight though?
I found him much more of a fun challenge than an annoyance...

OT: The dream sequence in the mage's tower from Dragon Age. Played through it once, and now I've got a bunch of playthroughs that have stalled at that point because I find the tower so bloody boring to run through. The dream section in particular.

Running around trying to find the shrines in the first part of the Knights of the Nine DLC from Oblivion.
