The danish word for honework "Lektier".
It's pronounced something along the lines of "lec-shee-ar", in a horrible lisp way, like Sid the Sloth from Ice Age, and it just ticks me off.
Having such an ugly word for, in my opinion, pointless and boring tasks doesn't help.

"Epic"

I am so sick of that word. It makes me angry just thinking about that word.
I quote:
"The only things that are epic in EXISTENCE are,
Oceans
Massive Stories Involving the Dangerous Journeys of Muscle Men (The Odyssey)
Space."

I hate the following words:

1. Jowls (I'm raping the English language with this word, and it makes me sound like a redneck)
2. Intimate (a word that should never come out of a man's mouth)

Imagine a sentence that uses the word moist. Now imagine your mother or grandmother said it.
O, ooh, *makes a sour face* if mom or granny ever said that, I hope they are referring to cupcakes and brownies. Not something else. *shudders*

Any Internet abbreviations. Even if you use words like LOL, ROFL or whatever in any context, even an ironic joke it's very annoying.

"Nevermind"

Now, before you stare at me weirdly, consider the the reasoning behind it first. This is something that happened in my house alot. They bring up something and when you - or in this case, I - respond in a manner that doesn't suit them, they go "Nevermind". Or something similarly annoying. Well, I don't DO nevermind. You got my attention, so you SPEAK. So, I put the hate on anyone trying to shut me out of something once they've already decided to bother me about it. That's the reason.
My god, tell me about it. This drives me absolutely crazy. Happens to me all the time.
As for words I hate, I think the main offender for me is "fit". As in, "that girl over there is fit". It's so objectifying and usually ends with me wanting to go on a rant about how "that girl" is also my friend, a person and not a sex object.

"Addicting" The word is Addictive you undereducated Plebs,
Times have changed, and addicting is a word too, your the first one to complain.
It may well be a word BUT! it does not mean something that is easy to get addicted to.

If it was a word it would be a transitive verb or to use it in a sentance:

I am currently in the process of addicting my mate to heroin, It's not all that hard since it's highly addictive and soon he'll be well and truely addicted.

Do you see what I am getting at if it is a word you are using it wrong.

your the first one to complain.
I can assure you I'm not, also

That bugs the hell out of me too.

Also "disorientated" the word is disoriented less annoying but it still grates on me.

"Emo".
Seriously, what does it even mean?
EMOtional?
I also hate the hipster-words like: dawg, daddy-o, lol, lmao, rofl, fail,...
This too.
I agree with you on the 'Addicting.' But as for 'disorientated'- I'm pretty sure that is the correct form. Disoriented would me something likle dis-orient-ated which means that you've become less oriental?
Disorientated comes from the word orientate, which I think means to face a certain direction/'get your bearings.' Disortientated therefore logically means that you have lost sense of direction due to confusion, trauma etc.
This is irritating me because I always thought Disoriented was the wrong form, but now I'm less sure... dammit I'll look it up.
Also, 'fail' is a hipster word? Everyone uses it. Wtf is your definition of hipster?

Edit: turns out that 'Disoriented' is the American version. 'Disortientated' is the original English. In these cases I tend to go with the English. American-isms are inherently awful >.<

Ohh
OT: Not many words make me feel like that. Americanisms are horrible, as I tend to associate them with idiotic douchebags like the ones on Jersey Shore (I've never seen Jersey Shore but I've seen the pics on Cracked. I don't need to hear them speak to know that they are idiotic douchebags.) This probably seems a little unfair if you happen to be American- tough luck.
The few words that tend to irritate me are the chavvy ones; 'shank,' 'blud,' 'wanker' when it's pronounced 'wan-kaaaa!' Also things said in a Geordie accent *shudder.*

I can live with accounting terms (except for motherfucking Dollar Value LIFO---I am SO fucked on this Thursday's test!) But management terms can sod off.

Hmmm...
Off the top of my head:

- Banal.
- Skitting. (Slang word meaning laughing/giggling heavily.)
- When people use 'of' instead of 'have'. ("I should of gone.")
- Increment.
- Discomforting. It just sounds like bad English to me.
- Dived. And yes, it's the correct conjugation of the past tense of the verb "To Dive".
