Its a useful word... hench implies 'largeness' as well as merely fitness/good muscle definition etc. I would be more likely to call a rugby player or wrestler 'hench,' an attractive person 'buff' and a male model or athlete 'ripped.'
Fair enough if you don't like the word... but you can't dislike it on the grounds that there are other synonyms for it, as those synonyms connote slightly different things- so they are all useful to the language.

I agree with you on the 'Addicting.' But as for 'disorientated'- I'm pretty sure that is the correct form. Disoriented would me something likle dis-orient-ated which means that you've become less oriental?
Disorientated comes from the word orientate, which I think means to face a certain direction/'get your bearings.' Disortientated therefore logically means that you have lost sense of direction due to confusion, trauma etc.
This is irritating me because I always thought Disoriented was the wrong form, but now I'm less sure... dammit I'll look it up.
Also, 'fail' is a hipster word? Everyone uses it. Wtf is your definition of hipster?

So we should start saying sinked then? when you change the subject/tense of a word you usually change parts of the original,
I may actually be wrong about ted vs tated but I know which one sounds better to my ears.

The word "gypsy" sends shivers down my spine. But that's probably got more to do with the fact that I'm afraid a bunch of them will appear out of nowhere and mug me because of the word being uttered.

I find this amusing because I was employed at a renaissance farie last year and i was cast as a gypsy.

Nooo! Saying we should say 'Sinked' instead of 'sank' is like saying we should say 'mouses' instead of 'mice' or 'choosed' instead of 'chose.'
Believe me on the 'disorientated' thing. You do often change parts of the original, but its unusual to just cut them off when they were fine as they were. However, the Americans do so if you're American that would explain our differences.

It may well be a word BUT! it does not mean something that is easy to get addicted to.

If it was a word it would be a transitive verb or to use it in a sentence:

Well i come from another country, English is my third language, i was never good with grammar, but as long as i can communicate, why care anyway.

If it isn't your first language then I don't mind so much,
but if it's your first there's really no excuse.

As for why we should care:

1. Many times a small mistake can completely change the meaning of a sentence ie,
"I helped my uncle Jack, off his horse."
and
"I helped my uncle jack off his horse."
One is about helping a relative,
the other is about helping a relative in an act of beastiality.
