I'd just like to say it: panel 2 is the greatest thing you've ever written for this comic. Good one.

New Half-Life.
Only now could we pry Episode 3 from his heartless stubby fingers.
Who cares about Episode 3 now?
NATHAN FILLION IS MISSING!!
CALL A SEARCH PARTY!
Considering who it was that caught him I'd like to interject and say that the seach is hopeless.

We will forever see new paintings of Nathan Fillion fornicating with everyones favorite childhood figures.

The Emperor is dead. Long live the Emperor.

I noticed you slipped "cox" onto the disc. Truly, your skill at inserting dick jokes (pun noted but not intended) knows no bounds.

Okay, wait, she said "inadvertently shooting down the gaming community's one chance to be free of a grotesque monopoly." Was she referring to turning Steam back on, b/c then the use of "inadvertently" doesn't make any sense. They turned it back on purposefully.
They turned it back on because zombies were spewing out of the walls at the time. Keeping Valve in power was an obvious, but unintended, side effect.

Edit: And "Cox" isn't a dick joke. At least it's not supposed to be a dick joke. It's actually another Silence of the Lambs reference.

The king is dead and now we're dancing in the streets!

I got the song reference in the end (Vagabond, Greenskeepers). The question is, can YOU get my song reference? >:)
I don't know if this is the song your thinking of, but it has that line in it. And if it is, good choice.

Silence of the Lambs? "It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again."
Other than that, it's because she's creepy and loves Nathan Fillian.

If you don't know the reference, I'm sure some light googling will fix that.
I don't really feel like explaining it (not to be rude).
Close, but instead of putting lotion on the skin, it's:

"It sings Everyone's a Hero again, or it gets the hose again!"

Nathan: "So I thank my girlfriend, Penny..."
Penny: "...Yes?"
N: "...I can't say it. I just ca-AAAAHHHH NOT THE HOSE!!"
P: "You were saying?"

lol I love Erin's boss. What a *****. Also, I would have checked out the merch but it appears the site is a lie.
Indeed. You think Sharon would have learned something from this. Oh well guess it takes more than a game zombie apocalypse to keep her from being a *****.

I love the rant regarding the long-term implications of their actions. And that no one has bothered to clean up Gabe Newell's body. And that I recognize the song lyrics at the bottom for the first time in this strip's running.

Someone Get the Citizen Kane. It is, in this case, more than well-earned.....Oh who am i kidding I don't give out orders around here (sigh)

OT: That was beautiful. So many fantastic jokes in one little strip. This may be blasphemy, but know, Carter and Rydell, that I now officially follow you guys more closely than Gabe and Tycho. Brand me a heretic; I don't care.

Well done. It had a rocky start, and I did not get the pokeman/IGN character joke, but I enjoyed the strip none-the-less.

I might get accused of being pro-piracy but really what makes steam and other DRM services/games "safe" to use is that gamecopyworld and piratebay exist.

The publisher or the service operator can shut you down from their service but they can't stop you from using the bits stored on your hard disk. If they tried you will have a valid moral, and in some jurisdictions legal, justification for downloading and using a crack or an unauthorized copy.

In your "end of steam, end of the world" scenario you could placate all the zombies with a torrent client and a few choice web links and everything would go back to normal.

I couldn't help but hear the L4D2 music that plays when you finish a campaign at the very end there.

yes thank you!, in the end, all you need is to have fisical copyes of what you bought in Steam, and those are not that hard to make... maybe a couple bucks more expensive, but not at all hard.

and now i am inclined to copy every game i have in a portable hard drive...

but its fairly easy to patch that "connection" necesity

I feel really left out now, since I haven't read the Dune series. Next time, could you not make a whole miniseries based on the assumption that just because you're a gamer you'll get every nerd reference ever?
