Looks good. But the dude in the background says you need to "Finish what I started over a century ago". Does that mean he's Nomad and you're playing as someone else this time? I dunno, just a bit of speculation.
Exactly. It's kind of pathetic this whole post revolved around that idea, and it's completely wrong. His link to eurogamer clearly shows MUCH lower minimum requirements for the original.ImprovizoR said:Jesus Christ do some research first. Crysis 1 had much much lower minimum requirements.

Seriously, how did you get 70fps on ultra high? What Config file are you using?
Im pretty sure its the guy who invented the nano suit. I might be wrong tho.Sn1P3r M98 said:Looks good. But the dude in the background says you need to "Finish what I started over a century ago". That is condescending, a 260 is an amazing card, it's just a couple generations behind. If the guy is running a 480 or two than that would explain his framerates. But you don't need it. I have a 275 and I fully expect to run Crysis 2 on max settings at 1080P.starfox444 said:I imagine it's by having a card better than a 260 GTX. Nvidia GTX 470 with 3D vision.vrbtny said:[small]I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.[/small]
Seriously, what sort of Graphics card do you have?
You do know that every Nvidia card that is from the 400 serie or newer supports 3d?WaaghPowa said:Nvidia GTX 470 with 3D vision.vrbtny said:[small]I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.[/small]

Yeah, i thought that was the bottleneck. Can I just overclock the hell out of it a bit more? Or will I just have to settle for playing ever game on Ultra High, and Crysis on high?starfox444 said:I imagine it's by having a card better than a 260 GTX. I'm aware of that, but not everyone else does.Tubez said:You do know that every Nvidia card that is from the 400 serie of newer supports 3d?WaaghPowa said:Nvidia GTX 470 with 3D vision.vrbtny said:[small]I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.[/small]

Dude, you have a 260. Don't use AA or AF and you'll probably be able to play Crysis 2 on max settings. It's not even out yet and you're worrying you won't be able to play it on maximum. Keep your shorts on.vrbtny said:Yeah, i thought that was the bottleneck. Can I just overclock the hell out of it a bit more? Crysis looks great even if you're not on ultra, there's very little difference that I can tell between high and ultra.vrbtny said:Yeah, i thought that was the bottleneck. So what you are saying is that anything not top-of-the-line is "not a great card". That's ridiculous. That's like saying the Geforce 4 ti wasn't or isn't a good card just because it's old and can't handle new games. It's still a great card that was made for the games of it's generation. Same with the 260.starfox444 said:Which is exactly why I don't think it's that great a card. The 200 series is to nVidia what the 1156 socket is to Intel. Sure it performs great for it's time, but with the price points of newer hardware that outperforms it easily, it is rendered completely obsolete.thesaxmaniac said:it's just a couple generations behind.
*Cough* Uhum, I believe I said Crysis. Look at two lines above^^thesaxmaniac said:Dude, you have a 260. Don't use AA or AF and you'll probably be able to play Crysis 2 on max settings. If you want to play crysis 2 at it fullest you need a new graphic card since Im pretty sure your card only supports dx9/10 and crysis 2 is using up to Dx11vrbtny said:Yeah, i thought that was the bottleneck. Actually, I'm very much inclined to agree...KaosuHamoni said:What!? But it's not Crysis unless it makes your computer explode!
Imo playing without AA/AF is really stupid, it's better to lower the settings a bit and use a lot of AA. But that is only my opinionthesaxmaniac said:Dude, you have a 260.
