Looks good. But the dude in the background says you need to "Finish what I started over a century ago". Does that mean he's Nomad and you're playing as someone else this time? I dunno, just a bit of speculation.

Jesus Christ do some research first. Crysis 1 had much much lower minimum requirements.
Exactly. It's kind of pathetic this whole post revolved around that idea, and it's completely wrong. His link to eurogamer clearly shows MUCH lower minimum requirements for the original.

We should actually be complaining that these requirements are so much higher than the original's. It's running on a freakin xbox 360, why did the requirements go UP for the sequel? It doesn't make sense.

It must be the computer they use for the Space Program....
Spend a little money and get a good cooling fan. overclocking hoooooo.
Yeah, I know that part already. I've got i7 overclocked to 4.0ghz, and a GTX 260 overclocked. Shove in 3gb of RAM running at 1333mz, I kinda thought I'd be alright.

Seriously, how did you get 70fps on ultra high? What Config file are you using?
Honestly, I don't even know, I just used the software that came with my cpu and ramped it up about 30%. Ever since it's ran like a dream.

Seriously, what sort of Graphics card do you have?

I imagine it's by having a card better than a 260 GTX. I don't mean to be condescending, but it's not that great a card.
That is condescending, a 260 is an amazing card, it's just a couple generations behind. If the guy is running a 480 or two than that would explain his framerates. But you don't need it. I have a 275 and I fully expect to run Crysis 2 on max settings at 1080P.

You do know that every Nvidia card that is from the 400 serie or newer supports 3d?

Yeah, i thought that was the bottleneck. Can I just overclock the hell out of it a bit more? Or will I just have to settle for playing ever game on Ultra High, and Crysis on high?

I'm aware of that, but not everyone else does.

Dude, you have a 260. Don't use AA or AF and you'll probably be able to play Crysis 2 on max settings. It's not even out yet and you're worrying you won't be able to play it on maximum. Keep your shorts on.

Crysis looks great even if you're not on ultra, there's very little difference that I can tell between high and ultra.

Which is exactly why I don't think it's that great a card. The 200 series is to nVidia what the 1156 socket is to Intel. Sure it performs great for it's time, but with the price points of newer hardware that outperforms it easily, it is rendered completely obsolete.
So what you are saying is that anything not top-of-the-line is "not a great card". That's ridiculous. That's like saying the Geforce 4 ti wasn't or isn't a good card just because it's old and can't handle new games. It's still a great card that was made for the games of it's generation. Same with the 260.

If you want to play crysis 2 at it fullest you need a new graphic card since Im pretty sure your card only supports dx9/10 and crysis 2 is using up to Dx11

What!? But it's not Crysis unless it makes your computer explode!
Actually, I'm very much inclined to agree...

I firmly believe that a vast majority of Crysis and Warhead owners played those games precisely because they made their PCs explode.

Lets face it, the gameplay and storyline of the previous Crysis games weren't all that great, but it had a lot going for it in the graphics department.

I bought Warhead without even watching a trailer, 'cus I knew what I'd get. A graphics wankfest.

The same will not be true of Crysis 2, and I'm oh so very glad that we're getting a Demo.

It's especially sad seeing as Crysis was basicly the one and only game series that catered specifically to people who had top-of-the-line gear.

Imo playing without AA/AF is really stupid, it's better to lower the settings a bit and use a lot of AA. But that is only my opinion
