Crysis 2 Will Have the "Best Graphics Ever"

Not likely, last I heard, they dumbed down the engine a little for consoles, since they couldn't get the first Crysis to run on them.

The suppose the real question is, why would anyone pay thousands of dollars to upgrade their PC every time Crytek releases a game, considering how shit they invariably are?

This article only illustrates the complete lack of thought that goes into their development process.

Given that I loved Far Cry, Crysis, and Crysis: Warhead, I have no problem at all shelling out for this game (assuming my PC can run it.)

As someone said before me, once you tweak your settings to have a smooth framerate, the game becomes magnitudes more entertaining. I'd go so far as to say it's one of the best shooters I've ever played, right up there with Halo and Call of Duty.

This is all just my opinion of course, so take it as such.

Yes, but will it have a good story, lack of glitches, and good AI? From Crytek's previous games, I think the answer is probably not.

Thus proving that no one cares if the game is good anymore as long as the graphics are good. What happened to deep gameplay? Does it not exist now that bratty 13 year olds that won't play anything if the graphics aren't good rule the industry?

OT: I'd like to see non-prerendered shots at some point. Gears of War 2 did the same thing, release screenshots with 16x AA and said :U THIS IZ ARR GAEM. When no console has that good AA besides God of War 3 and Saboteur because they use awesome fake AA that works really well.

The statement could be very true, I believe this will be the first engine capable of doing global illumination in real time.
Thats Quite an achievement, i definitely applaud their programming team
