I don't know.

Lois and Clark seem like a done deal. There was this big love triangle with Lang Lang, Lois won, than they eventually got married and were happy.

It's been done and I don't feel it needs to be explored anymore. Move on and deal with something else, like how many planets Superman could explode by sneezing really hard.

This might be leading up to the DC Universe retcon which I hope they don't do cause I love Hal Jordan and ALL the other green lanterns!

I like Lois and Clark but anyone's read any comic with them as married couple you know...their boring as hell together. Without that Lois/Clark Kent/Superman love triangle their one of the dullest couples in comics. Mainly because I think Lois isn't an arsehole to Clark like she was before she knew his secret, which was the most interesting part about her.

I'm not sure breaking them up is the best answer, but they needed to do something with them, apart from maybe in Last Son their married has never been remotely interesting.

NOOOOOOOOOO!

I have to admit this is a bit weird since I've almost always known Lois and Clark to be a married couple, but I'm not going be that upset.

What a lot of people forget in books, comics, games, movies, etc. It's the romantic chase that's interesting, once they get together (see all shows that run on UST once the main characters get it on) it's boring, and dull.

So, I don't have a problem with them breaking them up, it gives them the chance to start the romance over again. And hell it's a reboot, I'd prefer if they wiped the universe clean like Marvel did with the Ultimates (without the horrible plots and stupid douchebag characters... and incest)

Maybe they'll surprise us all and have Wonder Woman and Lois Lane get together instead?
I could get behind that.

Seriously, though. I'm not that familiar with Wonder woman, but has it or ever had any lesbian subtext or straight-out lesbian characters? I mean, there was a nation with no men in it, wasn't there? And sort of instances of bondage?

So confused. I thought Batman had a relationship with Wonder Woman. Poor Batman always getting shown up by Supes.
See, you're not alone. If anything needs to be changed, it's that Batman needs to FINALLY get an official relationship, either with Wonder Woman (like the cartoon hinted) or with Catwoman.

DC, if you break up the ONLY couple that has survived the horrors of comic book romance (Green Arrow and Black Canary, Starfire and Nightwing, Raven and Beast Boy, Donna Troy and her husband, Spider Man and Mary Jane, Cyclops and Jean in The Last Stand) then I will hate you for the rest of my life. Why is it that comic writers seem to think that having any long lasting relationship--not just marriage--is something that drags a character down? Idiots.
Ya know...Raven and Beast Boy was actually fairly interestin to read even if they never stayed together. I mean...those were two seriously fucked in the head individuals and at the very least it didn't end with continuity bein torn asunder...or one of them dyin...or both of them dyin...or one turnin evil and then dyin.

Still waitin to see what this reboot does for my beloved Teen Titans though *eyes DC*

On topic! Not sure if what was written about actually relates to the name of the article...so...yeah. It mostly looks like some mumbojumbo about lookin at it from a different angle while still leavin the possibility of it never happenin open. Either way it could be interestin.

Oh, sure, because that went so well for Spidey. To be fair, I don't really care too much for Superman but this will surely piss off a boatload of people.

It is not the fact that Spiderman was split from Mary Jane that made comic fans angry, it was HOW he was split from Mary Jane that make comic book fans angry. Seriously, Mephisto would never settle on just taking a marriage. How the hell does he benefit from dissolving a marriage? What can he do with it? What next? Xavier gives Magneto a large plasma television in return for a one year truce? Actually, Magneto can still do more with a plasma television then what Mephisto can do with a marriage.

Translation: *Whinny voice* Superman was better when he was conflicted over a love interest and we could just write generic romantic conflict. Writing about married stuff is hard! Everything was better before the marriage!

I honestly don't know why DC does some of this stuff. If they want to write new stories they why struggle with rewrite the mass of tangled history of an existing character, why not write a new one? Establish characters have baggage and no amount of recon will change that.

I would have thought their marriage was going to be ret-conned away, anyway. New Super Man likely won't even know Lois, let alone be in a serious relationship with her. He could be married to Lana Lang who he divorces before he leaves for Metropolis, just to keep the divorcee thing as part of his character no matter what.

It might be interesting to see Super Man cope with the pain of loss of someone who is still alive and a problem that he can not solve by punching his way out of it or running really fast.
Punching and running away really fast would just make this worse!

Depicting an honest-to-goodness divorce proceeding is a lot more mature than magical annulment...but weaseling out of excessive maturity in a genre characterized by a multitude of idealized people in skin-tight spandex with underpants on the outside or nothing but underpants solving the world's problems with fabulous super-human powers, ingenious skill sets and high tech gadgets is kind of the point of these kinds of events, so it might not be a good thing after all.

PS: Yes, I know, this is really just a quasi-scientific Cosmic Retcon, not an actual divorce, but I would like to have given DC a chance to resolve at least one little thing before they Rage Quit on another continuity.

Maybe they are changing him to Souperman, he derives his powers from different kinds of soup. And since it's the heat of battle, he doesn't have time to wait for it to cook so he has to eat it raw.

Maybe it's the idea that they are a happily married couple. With divorce rates as high as they are, maybe they are thinking "If I can't have a successful marriage, then neither can Superman!". Or maybe they read the Man of Steel vs the Woman of Kleenex essay from a while back and thought "Hmm."

Did they ever explain why Flash's bones don't disintegrate from the impact force every time he punches someone at supersonic velocities?
Yeah, Speed force.

In actual Medical terms: Deus ex machina. I know when they had a crossover with Marvel, Flash is freaking useless. Steel needed to build him a battery so he could fight over at marvel side.
What crossover are we talking about?
And at least he's a proper speedster. Quicksilver my ass.
JLA/Avengers Crossover [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JLA/Avengers]. Damn good Book.

Oh, and everyone knows Quicksilver is made of fail. Flash beaten him back in DC VS MARVEL.

"Let's just say it's being reexamined," he said. "Because it's something that I think is something that is so valuable to the character's story that you really want to explore all facets of it. Not just as it exists currently."
GOD, I hate that PR speech Bullshit editors give. Trying to disguise their true intentions (trying to bring in new readers at the expense of pissing off the old ones) in the lamest and most intelligence-insulting way possible.

Right, I did not know that yet. Will get it when I have time and money.

And yes that is exactly the issue I meant. Just read it again yesterday and really... a guy who can run at the speed of sound vs the Scarlet Speedster? Oh please.

So I just did a google image search for both women and honestly Wonder Woman FTW. She's a good deal hotter and she's got superpowers, a total win over Lois.
