So anyway, I went out with friends last night and pulled (clearly my language is alien to many people so this means "kissed for a long period of time"... with tongue) the girl I've been crushing on for like the past 5 years. HELP. I'm in a state of shock and can't even think. wtf do I do? (Ican't believe I ended up doing one of these)

PLEASE do not give they generic "tell her how you feel" crap, be imaginative.

edit: ok, just got my phone, I may have sent her some soppy desperate sounding texts while drunk last night... *facedesk*

Hop over with a suit and a big, big fucking bouqouet of flowers. Make sure you are in tip top shape, and take her out for dinner. Just like that.

You've been crushing on her for FIVE YEARS? Man, you've obviously not tried getting with her at all, or she's not been interested at all. If it's the last one, she was drunk and DO NOT call her.

I think this is what is my opinion. Except you and her were too "scared?" so she probably wasn't drunk.

I don't think I'll be able to make the 2 hour walk to her house... especially not in the snow. But good work on that imagination.

Instead of going on a rant about how the OP basically just asked everyone to tell him what he wants to hear/read (don't deny it, you did).

actually you're probably right, I think I know what I have to do, I'm just very very cowardly and reassurance is what I need, so in a way this still helps. very insightful of you.

Actually I owe you an apology, I was being a provocative ass, so I'll try and offer something more constructive. Go and speak to her, she might feel the same way you do, who knows maybe she's just as terrified of what she thinks you might think of her. As for sending drunken texts, a lot of people are guilty of that one and yeah it's embarrassing as hell but it'll speak volumes if you go to her and explain yourself. Something good might come out of it. You made the move in the first place, why not see it through?

EDIT: That's not the same thing as telling her how you feel by the way, it's more 'clearing the air'.

hmmm, she's not responding to any of the attempts I've made to contact her. I'm going to go hit my head against a wall for a while hoping to remove the memory of this from my brain in order to salvage some happiness for christmas. dammit, I promised my mate I wouldn't let things get awkward! it was fun while it lasted... and for some reason my smug-grin-itis (the random appearance of a smug grin on my face at any time during the day regardless of circumstances) still hasn't cleared up yet. to end I'll go with this...
