I'm voting for "Save Carmine" We don't know if *anyone* will make it to the credits, so why take him out before his time?

I wouldn't let the idiots on XBL take care of my dry cleaning, much less decide on which direction a small part of the plot progresses in my as of yet unmade video game. Proceeds go to charity, however, so I am hoping MS will simply take all your money and then kill him regardless of the outcome.

Save Carmine! I doubt any of YOU on here would be able to last as long as either of the brothers in a real life war against the locust.

[Edit]
or if he does die, it MUST be epic. A noble sacrifice to save humaity and win the war will do.

Heh, I just noticed Anthony, Benjamine and Clayton (A, B, C). Never realised that before, makes them seem even more like novelty throwaways
I'm definitely doing this, especially since it's for a good cause and it's a very interesting form of voting, but I don't know which to choose... If he dies I'd hope it would be in a funny way with some cheesy line from one of the main characters but also if he lived that would make a nice change of pace and I really liked the Carmines, they're the most 'human' of the Gears cast, so yeah I'll probably vote save

Save Carmine! For the love of god!

I just want one to survive and prove that this series (that I admittedly enjoy) has more depth than a teaspoon. Having the support cast there to do nothing else other than be cannon fodder is exactly the opposite of depth. Not sure what phrase to use to qualify 'opposite of depth'.

I liked it when Tai died, for example, and he was nothing like the Carmines and his death was nothing like theirs, their deaths have been pointless. Even in the first Gears you mark Carmine as the redshirt right from the word go. Tha same with the second, though I actually thought they were going to let him live in that one, till he didn't. That sucked because I thought they were bucking their own trend before it got started.

The reason I liked Tai's death was because it was unexpected. The reason I didn't like the Carmines deaths was because it was totally predictable and they did it anyway. They also weren't the type of characters you can get attached to enough to really miss either.

See, this is how I always pictured it.

There are 3 Gears Games.

In Gears 1, Carmine (Anthony) was a bit of a dull soldier, who ended up dying because of his stupidity.

In Gears 2, Carmine (Ben)was a polite, kind soldier, who broke the Golden Rule of Gears and died because of it.

In Gears 3, part 1, Carmine (Clayton) SHOULD die. He should also have a lovable flaw, but die just the same, in a sad way as Ben did.

In Gears 3, part 2, we should meet the D. Carmine, who is pretty silent for a while. Then, once we hit a fire fight, we find out that D. Carmine is actually like his brothers, except for one thing: He's a complete Badass. Not a funny badass, like Baird, or a silent badass, like Tai, but a CARMINE Badass. He has that same sense of duty and kindness, but he's gonna survive.

So, sadly, my vote goes for the Death Option.

Edit: Mistake, meant 3 Gears games.

I'm sorry Carmine, the starving children demand your death. Never much cared for the first Carmine, nprobably won't the second or this one.

Oh, so they're going the Jason Todd route on this one? That's actually a good idea. Personally, I think I'll go with "Save Carmine."

I like the irony of deciding if we should kill a character to benefit dying kids.
The kids will feel pretty bad if, when they are playing Gears 3, someone points out the character they love will die because of them.

I want Carmine to live, just because I played as his brothers all the time in multiplayer and Clay has an even better helmet than the first two. And he's more ridiculous than Marcus.

But does no-one else realise than as soon as a certain website gets a whiff of this, the power is out of our hands?

Sorry for what is likely a double post, but there's only 3 Carmines. This guys is killing a character based on wishful thinking.

Save Carmine. Come on, the joke got old after the FIRST game. It's just getting retarded now. Also, make him into a veteran. It's stupid to have 3 brothers all be just as stupid as each other. So yeah. If you kill him, I will lose all respect for you.

kill him, but not like the others. the first died for being an idiot and standing up to reload in a sniper field, (the equivelent of tapdancing in a mine field) and the ladder took ana cid bath to rinse off some bugs.

Clayton needs to die a hero, by saving marcus and the others by being eaten by some giant monster and killing from inside via hand grenade.

plus clayton is my brothers name, so there's a bit of an emotional connection.
Or if you DO kill him, do this. He needs to actually be a bit badass or something.

Save carmine, and to break up consistency even more; why don't we have the locusts blow up a planet this time.
