Did you get any HD Collections?

I have Team ICO, God of War (both), and recently MGS. It's the main reason why I ignored Mass Effect 3 and all its controversies.

Planning to get Sly, Jak, and Rachet collection.

I plan on getting the DMC collection soon. I always wanted to play them but I only had an Xbox back then.

I also plan on trying out Halo CE. I have the original so I'm just trying it out for the updated graphics.

I want to get the Silent Hill collection and boyfriend is getting DMC as soon as he's finished his essay stuff

Anyone that's bought Silent Hill HD (Xbox) and can report on it? I've heard a lot of conflicting things.

I'm tempted by the MGS Collection, but ultimately I gotta keep more of my money in my pocket for car payments and stuff right now. Ico/SotC is one of the reasons i'd like a PS3 someday, but not for awhile.

Given what I have heard about the Silent Hill collection, I'll stick to the originals.

The only things wrong with it are a few small framerate drops every once in a while, and the PS3 version had to pull back the fog a bit for technical reasons, which doesn't hurt the atmosphere much but does make the lake look weird.

The rest of the upgrade is great, and the new voices are fine. At the absolute least no worse then the originals were.

OT: I also got the Sly Cooper collection and ICO/Shadow of the Colossus

I picked up a copy of Splinter Cell HD Collection for a steal, and it's been pretty good. I'll probably get most of the Konami titles, as well as some other classics. I'm thinking of Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank, at least. And I just might grab the OddBox, too.

I got the sly cooper collection and the Ico collection. Will probably get the ratchet and clank collection when it comes out.

I got Sly and Ico and may get rachet and clank depending what's in it. MGS I might pick up one day, but I think going back from MGS 4 to the orginals may make me dislike them for lacking convience features.

Only the Monkey Island Special Edition pack, HD collections for PC are rare anyway. Never really gotten the point of them, anyway. I mean, take a game series from the last console generation, tweak the engine to support 1080p, make some textures crispier, bundle it together and release it on current generation consoles? It's obviously the only approach that wouldn't be just as big an effort as making a brand new game, or just as little effort as a direct port, but personally I wouldn't mind seeing some old classics re-imagined using current generation (or future generation) technology. Keep the story and core gameplay mechanics, fix what was wrong, improve what could have been better and rebuild the graphics from scratch.

A lot of them actually: I started from the God of War collection two years ago, then I bought Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Solid and last Silent Hill. I'm a fan of HD collections, although I don't see any tremendous different from the PS2 originals, but some games I love them so much that I can't resist to them and buy them again for the PS3.

The SH HD collection on XboX is, to put it lightly, DA BOMB! (very good)

Pretty much the main reason i got a PS3 was for the Sly Cooper Hd collection. I couldnt find a copy in my area untill about a month ago though

I got the GoW and MGS collections. I'm waiting for Ratchet and Clank's collection to come out before I pick that up alongside the Jak and Ico collections.

Silent hill HD is amazing a really good buy, I have no problems with it. Then again people say the old ones were better but I didnt play them. But dont let bad reviews put you off it is a great game.
All we need now is a final fantasy HD collection with Final fantasy 1, Final fantasy 2, Final fantasy 3, Final fantasy 4, Final fantasy 5, Final fantasy 6, Final fantasy 7, Final fantasy 8 (and so on). I think a Final fantasy HD collection is entirely possible.............shut up I do

HD collections are useless to me. They aren't reason enough for me to buy/play the game again. Nor would 3D releases or the like.

That said, the Sly Cooper collection has caught my attention because I've never played any of those games and I have a mild interest in trying them out.

I got Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which almost ALMOST met my expectations, but unfortunately MGS3 was missing too much from the original.

I was considering Silent Hill, but all I heard was shit, so I got SH2 on PS2.

I'd probably get Shadow of the Colossus/Ico when I get the chance.

I don't get these for HD as such, I get them because I want the games and it may be better value than getting their last gen versions.
