Yeah the trailer and premise managed to peak my interest but I gotta wait for all the episodes to come out and non-chuds to review it before I commit to another Star WarPeople seem to have raging hate stiffies for The Acolyte. Excited to see if that's just the usual suspects and the show is actually decent or if I'll hate it just as much.

There's an episode a bit later with little or no action...because they liberate a concentration camp. Yeah, that one was appropriately unpleasant.Started watching Band of Brothers since I had watched it like 3 times years ago and wanted to share it. Turns out, I totally forgot how much action and gore there is in that, I remembered the quiet scenes much more then the action and the 2 and 3rd episodes are like nonstop gunfire and gore and death. So the SO got squicked out by it (I was kinda done with it by that point too, really can't believe I totally forgot there was gore in it) and we started watching season 3 of the Wire instead.
The first episode has no action either and I know there are later ones without much, but I just remembered there being so much less action then there is.There's an episode a bit later with little or no action...because they liberate a concentration camp. Yeah, that one was appropriately unpleasant.
It's alright. I feel like the stakes have never really matched season one's; that they've abused the hell out of death fake-outs and that the whole thing's been locked in a stalemate ever since... but yeah, still entertaining to watch the Homelander and Butcher show. The 1st 3 episodes of The Boys Season 4 dropped on Amazon Prime.
It has been very good so far. The show is much better than the comic book was, though that was so different and had its own charms.
The stakes are higher and the show (which I think will have a Season 5) is headed in the direction the theme of the show always hinted at.
And man, did Homelander's son have a growth spurt. They are making some odd choices though. Why is Frenchie gay now, after 3 seasons of apparent deep adoration of "The Female"? And, odd the crazy amount of male nudity, no female nudity. I think the showrunners are trying to tell me something.
I think my favorite actor so far is the kid who plays Ryan. Holy crap, he is capturing that image of a boy who's struggling with sudden fame and dealing with the fact that his dad is a psychopathic killer. Great performance. The 1st 3 episodes of The Boys Season 4 dropped on Amazon Prime.

Yeahhhh, I don't see what the fuck everyone's problem is. It is amazing? Hell nah, there's still a ton of lazy writing. But frankly, the costumes, set design, and cinematography are a clear step up from the last few shows.People seem to have raging hate stiffies for The Acolyte. I love the subject matter of this show so much but I think, while there were some terrific high lights to the episode, some of the writing was pretty bad. And Homelander's piece in the show, while you can be sympathetic with his motivation, was too torture pornish for my tastes. OK, I am digging The Deep's wacko relationship with Sage. The Boys S4E4.
You know, as much as Homelander is an crazy maniac, it was kinda satisfying to see him get his vengence. And poor Hughie for slowly giving uinto his brutal side.
God, every single character in this show needs a therapy, hopefully someone who is invulnerable to all harms
