NO avatar was absolutely boring and had a sloppy unoriginal story, I don't want a sequel, but as everyone shoved their wallets down Camerons throat I'm positive we'll have sequel(s) and prequel(s). And there are plenty of paths the movie can take, which actually might fill the plothole of *If the humans are forced to leave the planet by the blue smurfs whats keeping them from just bombing the planet from orbit, and what kept them from doing that long before, and how did a bunch of retreating smurfs after a battle with a platoon of marines suddenly take over an entire military base?*twaddle said:if u have not heard the news, James Cameron has annouced he will be making an avatar sequel. The question is: Can the story go anywhere from here? The story of avatar was decent and it seemed final at the end. I can't possibly think of a good sequel to the movie with a good story. So when he makes the sequel will it be good? Bad? And where the hell is the story suppost to go from here? the planet getting a tumor or getting hit by an astroid?
It doesn't matter, any story can be given to these smurfs in space and people will come running with money in hand to see it, quite literally Cameron could make some new space threat of evil aliens that spread like a disease using the bodies of organisms to reproduce its breed of xenomorphic space monsters. At least then it will be a movie I might see as when I was in the theater watching Avatar the only thing that made the experience enjoyable was daydreaming that this could spawn Aliens 5 with Ripley kicking more @ss
