And for every person like you I can find someone who's on RMA number six. The xBox 360 is an unreliable piece of shit and you're playing russian roulette if you get one. I'm not going to risk getting the lemon. I absolutely insist on reliability, I have no tolerance for a 50/50 shot at getting a good unit every time.
You obviously weren't reading were you? The ridiculous failure rate was fixed with the old 360s with the new chipset and is fixed in the Slims thanks to the new design. That whole 50/50 bullshit ceased to be true over two and a half years ago. Now the now 360s have the same reliability as the PS3's and only got the RRoD if something is genuinely wrong with them (much like the PS3's yellow light). You can't seriously think you're argument is watertight when all your info is wrong.

There's failing after thousands of hours of normal service and failing because you had the audacity to put the new Halo game in it.
Just read the damn facts and forget your flawed logic.

Geez. If there's one thing I hate more than unreliability it's fanboys that can't fathom how someone could have a negative opinion about their console of choice...
You forgot the part where I said that my disc try failed. I can list plenty of negative points to do with the 360. However, I won't because I've had more good experiences then bad.

My logic is not flawed. I'm going on what I've seen across the internet and seen first-hand. I saw a Jasper RRoD. All 360s are prone to cocking up for no apparent reason, and that is the second main reason why I wouldn't have one.
And you would know how to tell a Jasper from a Falcon? Plus all 360s RRoD for a reason. The X-clamp bending the mobo, microscopic cracks in the solder, fried microprocessors, they all can lead to a Red Ring. It's impossible to stop technology from failing.

I cant stand most apple users. Other than that I have no reason to hate either one and I have no bad experiences with Microsoft to cause me to hate them.

I'm indifferent towards them. Everything I use that they make, I find OK. I use windows 7, of which my only criticism is I could have had XP, and get the same functionality (as per my usage) but with half the resources. If I don't like something they make, I don't use it; Although it might be nice if Batman Arkham Asylum would recognise I'm using a mouse and keyboard rather than a 360 controller. Can't play the game at all, but at seven quid it's not a great loss.

1. Windows is BEYOND bloated. It needs to go on a crash diet. The only reason I'm using it is DirectX, if Linux natively supported it I would be on Ubuntu by now.
2: The xBox 360 is an unreliable piece of shit. This is why I haven't bought one. Good library, if it works it's fun, but the damn things need their warranty far too much for me to think any higher of them. The best warranty in the world is the one you never need to use, and I dare you to come up with any logic saying otherwise.
3: XBL is a paid service. Why the fuck should I pay to play online when I can do so for free on the other two platforms?!
4: They skullfuck free DLC. They pick through game-fixing patches making sure there's nothing that could be considered DLC. They FORCE devs to charge for DLC. Just ask any 360 TF2 player who's seen the PC and PS3 versions what that's like...
5: Internet Explorer is the shittiest browser available today. It follows maybe half of the standards other browsers follow, it's laggy, it's bloated, it doesn't have an ad blocker, and it's generally blah.

There's five good reasons I want to give them some smacks upside the head.
...i get the impression you dont like microsoft, so all i got to say is...good fucking choice.

I like their PCs, though I dontplay PC games.

I dont like their consoles. Really no reason why, except I had the misfortune of playing Drake of the 99 Dragons on the Xbox and I could never go back.

The thing is, that Microsoft would have never ever done Kinect, if Nintendo hadn't started the whole motion control thing.
Kinect was being called project natal before the wii was announced.
Project natal was announced in 2009 whereas Wii has been available on retail since 2006
Get your facts right.
project natal has been around for a deceptively long time -- since before the 360's release afaik, though admittedly there was practically no money being put into it until nintendo showed that motion controls were a major cash-cow.

Source?
As far as everyone with a common sense knows, the project Natal was announced in 2009. Take 2008 if you want to stretch the reality.

I like them, Xbox Live runs great, Windows 7 has yet to fuck up and most games run for their systems so I'm good with them.

They make good OS, and there aren't many others out there besides mac and linux.
Their OS are best suited, in my opinion, for a normal user that uses only a handful of the ultimate potential Windows has. It's simple and accesible, and it's great.
Other than that, I don't use any other software by Microsoft.

I quite like Microsoft. The Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE service are both superb (I never suffered a single fault or malfunction with my old '06 Xbox 360 in the four years I had it until it was replaced by a sleek and sexy 360-S) and Windows 7 is a damn fine OS. They've given me no reason to personally dislike them, so I don't.

While some of their policies tick me off and I think Xbox 360 is was a train wreck, I have no problems with the company otherwise and prefer their OS over others.

The obvious things that Microsoft use the money for its server maintenance (and yes, security updates can be paid for too) plus the addition of Netflix and other media streaming stuff that very few people use (still, it's there). One thing may of us LIVE users noticed with the new dashboard update (apart from it looking a bit stupid) was that downloads were fiercely faster, perhaps to keep up to speed with N protocol wireless or just to improve the experience for all of us. My point is that in the long term, it makes LIVE a better experience for us which I am more than happy to pay around $80AU every 12 months
Go Microsoft, charging people to use services that uses another companies bandwidth.
Then by that logic, you should be able to complain about every company that that charges money to use services that eat their bandwidth. Like downloading games from Steam. Still the same concept.
No it isn't. When I buy and subsequently download a game from Steam I'm using Steam's bandwidth to do so. For it to be the same thing, I would have to pay Microsoft $60 per year to download from Steam. The only things that cost Microsoft money on Xbox live, are servers in first party games, e.g. Halo, Gears, and the store.
And I thought you were talking about the bandwidth that you use to use the service.

How would Microsoft be able to have and maintain dedicated servers for all multiplayer games on LIVE? How would any company do that? Even with the money they rake in from Gold subscriptions they wouldn't be able to hold up that many servers. And what a waste it would be too. Hosting a game on LIVE consumes approximately 10MB/hour and about half that for those who join. It's just an accepted fact people know when using LIVE. With such huge internet plans you can get nowadays, who on this planet would give a shit?

And allowing players to play multilayer on other players' hosts isn't the only thing you pay for anyway.
You're proving my point, thank you for that.

Well, I don't hate Microsoft. I just dislike the Xbox for personal reasons. Now, I'm not very internet savvy so if anything, I would say I hate IE with a burning passion but, hey, I don't even know if this falls directly into the Microsoft category.

But I will try to list why I don't like the Xbox and, again, these are personal reasons. They're not meant to be overwhelmingly convincing reasons or meant to start a riot:

-Paying for online gaming. Say whatever you want about PSN and the hackers, you can still play for free. That is, assuming the servers go back up one of these days. No, I'm not that worried about my personal info being compromised; I got that part under control. I'm just waiting for Sony to fix his boo boo.
-Exclusive games. Xbox has a couple of exclusive games I'd like to play at least once: Left 4 Dead, Fable, Gears of War and Halo. Other than that, I can't think of any other good or interesting games. Sorry but I'm not buying a Xbox just for a handful of 'good' games. heck, I think the Wii has better exclusive games to offer.
-The controller. I don't know, it just feels weird. And I guess the controllers/button configuration/arrangement also feels iffy to me.
-Overwhelming user interface. Again, I don't know if its just me not being used to it but I've seen my games play with their Xbox. They go through so many screens, buttons, commands, button smashing and whatnot just to play a couple of songs or a game...sorry, my attention span is not that good.
-Too much green everywhere! We get it, Xbox! Green is your thing!
-That perfect circle you get on the disk if you move the Xbox 1 inch in any direction.
-Kinect. I don't know; if I'm gonna make a fool of myself, I would prefer to be holding a controller of some kind to have an alibi in case someone walks in and sees me.

Again, personal reasons.
You have some valid points there, especially the online, but most of them seem to stem from you being habituated to the PS3. For instance, the controller and the UI. They're both very intuitive and easy to use once you get used to them. I find the PS3 controller to be uncomfortable and strange, but that's only because I never use them and I'm used to the xbox one.
Just keep an open mind is all.
Well, like I said, those are my personal reasons. They're not meant to be convincing. Yeah, I'm used to the PS. I have PS1, 2 and now 3. I admit Xbox beats the PS3 in certain aspects and it's not like I wanna destroy every single Xbox out there. But personally, I don't like it.

Open mind? I have to. It's what I do for a living. So again, I don't like it but I don't love it.

YES.
I traded in my 360 for a ps3 the day before the servers went down :'(
But thats besides the point...
Microsoft has the most smoke-filled-back-roominess than any company ive seen. I called to cancel my subscription and they honestly had the guts to tell me that if I kept XBL, they could sell me one year for $20 (USD). Does that mean I have paid 40% more than necessary every time I renewed my subscription??

They are a money-gobbling company, but then again, they ARE a business. If anyone tells you that what they are devoting their life to comes without strings, RUN. They're after your blood.

It's kind of like that quote about democracy: "It's the worst OS except for all the other ones".
