Yes, just too show the game in a new light. As long as they don't change the story or characters in any way. Then I'd hate it forever.

On topic, I dont think a remastering for the ps3 and 360 is necessary. Just let the damn game die already. Also, I personally find the fighting system to be dated. Now, if they tried to add things to the battle system I am confident they would cock it up. So, no, I don't want a remake to tarnish my good memories with a good game of old.

I couldn't play FFVII again. I loved it, it was an awesome game, but no. Maybe releasing it through PSN, as someone else mentioned, but we don't need a full remake. Let's get some new blood in the pond.

You know what. It's not that I'm a massive FFVII fanboy. I played the game, loved it, even bought Advent Children, but I never played any of the various off-shoot games. I'm at a point right now in my life where I haven't played a new half-way decent RPG in years. FF IX did nothing for me despite how you rave about it, and I bought FFXII for $20 and I still felt ripped off.
Where I'm going with this is that I'm so bored with the type of games being released these days that a remastered FFVII for the PS3 would likely be my most anticipated game of the year.

Does anybody remember the episode of South Park when George Lucas gets the idea to do a 'special edition' version of Raiders of The Lost Arc? This thread kind of reminds me of that. I'm not really a fan of VII(I do think it is a good game), I personally thought it paled in comparison to VI. I wouldn't doubt that Square-Enix isn't done milking VII for all it's worth though.
Also, how many times also have the pushed Zack's story in our faces?>_>
