I hide it, since most people don't care, and I don't want to be associated with the extreme geeks that do things like play in magic tournaments. I am not a gamer, or a geek, I try at school and play videogames. Labels can go @#$% themselves.

It's not that I hide it, it's just that it never really comes up. Also, I tend to be self-conscious at times. The only times I show it is around friends, and even then not that often.

I'm not really that geeky. But the few geeky things i do know i don't hide. You would be amazed how normal it is to be a little geeky, nerdy or something along those lines. Nearly every time i say something that relates to something 'geeky' someone in the conversation will get it, so its really no big deal. But i might just be lucky.

Heck no! I like my geeky-ness. I don't know what'd I do with my life if I didn't cosplay, play video games or watch an anime episode every day!

Heh, definitely not. First of all, I don't like pretending to be 'normal' or 'acceptable' just to get people to like me, and secondly, I don't need to. I'm not even all that geeky. Even if I did hide all my geeky inclinations, I'd still be a pretty weird person. So yeah, no point. Besides, it's not something I'm ashamed of.

It's not really the first thing I want people to know about me (not because I?m ashamed but social stigma and what not...) and I don't talk about it with people who couldn't be considered geeks. And that's about it.

Had a tough time getting here but finally came to terms with the fact that I'm a geek and that I'm happy about it.

everyone in my group of friends knows who is a geek and who isn't (hint: we all are) so I see no reason too.
while according to another group of friends I'm 'such a weird geek'. which they say while laughing. It makes me want to punch them, but instead I just hide it when I'm with them.

I don't hide them, but I'm not showing off.

If a conversation turns to video games, I will discuss video games. If a conversation turns to Star Wars, I'll smite them with superior knowledge and dedication.

I have geeky inclinations, but I am no geek. Simple as that.

I'm not joking, I actually wear a bright red 3 inch wide badge that says "NERD PRIDE"
I get so many people saying they love it.

It still being winter down under, I walk around most days with a Goomba beanie on my head. wearing a hoodie from my local anime and video game convention.

"Me? A Geek? Why would you say that?"

I don't hide it, but I don't flaunt it either. If somebody asks me about stuff I'm not going to lie

Most people know me as "The Maths Guy", I'd rather that than "The World of Warcraft Guy"

I try to hide them. Not because I'm actually embarrassed by it--I like what I like--but because nobody EVER knows what the hell I'm talking about. I try to avoid talking about anime and videogames and stuff because A) people think I'm weird enough even without doing that and B) I don't want to alienate people from conversations, 'cos that's rude.
This minus the anime.
