Gigantic, gorgeous-looking fantasy openworld game with large, expansion-pack style DLC and massive amounts of customization? All made by one of the best game developers out there? For all systems?

I, for one, welcome our new Bethesdian overlords.

LOL...I confirm 100% and must add "eat my shorts" "two worlds"

HOORAY!
But wait- we didn't even get that on PS3!
Though to be fair, we did get KOTN and SO, but so did everyone else!
But as long as they don't pull the monumental dick move of giving everything to XBOX owners a couple of months before hand, i'm happy.
Seriously bethesda, don't pull that on us AGAIN.

Bethesda did DLC the right way with Fallout 3. Make the editor free for everyone to use creating a healthy modding community, then compete against it by creating and selling your own more professional level mods. This way you get the benefit of both worlds and no one takes advantage of each other.

I haven't really played any of their games over the past few years but I recall Bioware also doing this well with Neverwinter Nights. There were hundreds of free community made mods & campaigns that you could freely download, or in addition to the expansion packs they made a handful of smaller sized campaigns that sold for $5-10. While it cost you money you knew you were guaranteed a certain level of quality when buying these.

And here I was gonna buy Skyrim over ME3. I guess Bethesda doesn't want to sell games anymore.

I for one enjoy the concept behind the DLCs that give you houses, my only complaint is that I wish a bit more story was put into them. I mean, for the Fighter's Stronghold and Thieve's Den DLCs, it's just a matter of clearing out some baddies and then buying a few upgrades to make it a proper house and then some. Wizard's Tower and Vile Lair didn't even require you to fight anything.

I also don't really like the more minimal DLC packs. Horse Armor is barely a thought in my mind of course, but I've only ever found 2 Spell Tomes in the time I've had that DLC, and while the Orrery looks cool, it doesn't do all that much for me.

That said, I highly enjoyed playing through the Mehrunes' Razor quest, giant dungeon full of cool items and large, interesting areas? That's DLC done right, I hope we can see DLC of its quality for Skyrim.

It just struck me, how long do you think it will be before someone does a My Little Pony mod, changing all the horses to MLP characters?

And couldn't they just include horse armour in the game?! I mean it's not like it's a historically innacurate thing to have in a medieval setting, it would even be kind of useful since protecting your horse is, well... useful.

Why wouldn't I give God Howard all my money? I like the idea of less but bigger. Bloodmoon is the best add on for a game I ever played.

I'm expecting a Shivering Isles-style expansion pack. Maybe in Elsweyr?

Must... pre-order Skyrim now. DLC that will be worth buying.
To me it seems like more reason to wait for goty.
I was originally planning on waiting just because I figure it will take them that long to get it working anyway.

Horse armor, pfft. Everybody knows now that the real business future is in hats. Just ask VALVe.
That's it, officially confirmed --- Skyrim will have horse hats at $8 each. I'm sold, give my horse a jockey helmet.

I hate DLC. I've never bought any and they really should include it in the game, not make me pay again for it later.

The point of DLC is that game makers can add things into their games after the fact, or do you think that Bethesda had Knights of the Nine, Shivering Isles, and the various DLC packs all thought out and coded at launch and just held it back so they could charge more money?

Skyrim looks so amazing [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/110801-E3-Skyrim] that Bethesda could sell hamster armor and I'd probably consider buying it...

They should keep on doing DLCs like Point Lookout for Fallout 3. That's definitely my number 1 favourite DLC ever. A real expansion pack.
Yes, yes, yes yes and yes. This one thousand times over. Point Lookout was great, and a Skyrim version of it would sell like hot cakes.

I have faith in Bethesda though. They know how to do good games and DLC.
