The outrageous of this game draws me into it more and more, and I still feel like this is a big joke, or I'm dreaming or something, because this is the new age, this is the time of the media, this is where FPS games are all generic and dull, where RPGs take place in mid evil times or space, and horror games aren't actually psychological, but instead are meant to surprise you with creatures that are made of sewn together limbs in flicking, gray settings
That said, I'm exited for DNF, I'm pre-ordering the Balls of Steel Edition because I want that Bust, and I'll probably end up getting my hands on the older games when I have more income and less bills to pay.
The "slap" thing could be worse, they could be marketing the game to minors by saying "Mommy doesn't approve" of the game, or something else that EA has or will cook up for promotional videos.
Impossible to tell how the media will react, however, the game seems just as artistic as any movie could be, a satire of a genre, with crude stereotypes and being part of a franchise, call backs to the past. Anyone trying to argue the validity of the game can look at the horrible movies that are out that use sex appeal, language, and the popularity of Jackass movies (that are funny to myself) and have to tell me how watching and laughing at Jackass is any different than a game where you play as Duke Nukem
