I knew O'l Gabe could find room for some crow.
I was going to make a joke, but I decided not to out of respect for the man. Besides, we were all thinking it.
I don't get it, could you enlighten me?, what is getting some crow?

I googled it and I got crows, oddly enough.
The phrase is "eating crow."
I got it (thanks), kinda like getting egg on your face or being humble pie but in a more bitter and vitriolic expression.

Yeah I wouldn't say that about a developer, you know, because I'm not hateful like that.

Don't know why, saying "eating crow" to someone, it just comes across as "ha, your pathetic"

edit, but thats just me, you kids keep telling each other to eat crows.
I'm still shocked that my beloved Valve will be making games for my beloved PS3.

GG Valve for trolling everyone on the PC. Yeah, we were told that the "surprise" wasn't Half Life related or Source 2, but pardon me for thinking Valve would've revealed something...better. The Playstation owners are happy no doubt, but for me...bleh.

I do have one problem with this. Why did he say that the PS version would be the best? Why better than the PC's?
Listen closely padwan. He said the best console version. PC isn't a console.

Oooh steam support for the ps3 would be a game changer in Sony's favor I feal. Personally not real jived about that idea, but I'm sure microsoft would have the option as well, but will likely shun it in favor of thier own online marketplaces. I'm sure Microsoft won't take it sitting down but overall this will prolly be a good thing. I'd like to see the convinience and features of steam permeate the console markets. Maybe next gen consoles will get dangerously close to what thier PC counterparts enjoy, Microsoft got the online thumping, and sony's getting some geniune mode community love going with some of it's entries. Nintendo also got a fire started that the PC never quite did, non conventional controls are big news now maybe devs will get serious and we'll see some of the quality applications here that we've seen on other fronts. It's good to be a gamer.

Since I'm used to think about the PC as another gaming console, I got the wrong impression from his statement. But yes, you are right and I am at a minority, so... Hurray for PC gamers :)

As a 360 owner, I'm pissed.

I'm glad to see PS3 owners will get to experience Portal 2. But I'm never happy when a multiplatform game favors one system over another.

Exactly, he just ensured no one will buy portal 2 on 360. (not that anyone really would have in the first place)

I was going to, and still will. My PC is a broken piece of shit that can barely play a youtube video with out melting. And anyway, I just prefer playing games on a wide screen tv and the feeling of a controller in my hands to the clunky keyboard and mouse. But I digress.

I do wonder how much this is Valves fault. I could never see Microsoft allowing steam on their console. But then again neither could I with Sony.

It won't decrease my pleasure of the entail game. I'm just not look forward to being on the only system where I have to reach into my wallet for updates.

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't laugh a triumphant laugh at Gabe's eating of his own words.

DAMN that felt good.

But yes, Portal 2 on PS3! Woo! And STEAM on PS3, Woo also! Though I have no idea how that would work, anything on that yet?

Hey, this pretty great since my computer is getting crappy and I can't afford a new one. I'd never thought I'd be picking up a Valve game on PS3 over PC (or that they'd ever make a PS3 game again), but hey. I guess I'll wait to see how it turns out first.

I wonder if this means that they will finally update the PS3 version of Orange Box to be somewhat playable....

We Brits would use "eating humble pie". Though, given Gabe...
Perhaps eating your hat...nah...
Eating crow, eating humble pie, eating his words...

Suffice it to say that Gabe was well-fed on stage.

Which is totally unlike him...
