EA bans another DA2 customer

He's playing the victim here. It's pretty obvious he's leaving a lot of the details out and is just trying to get people onto his side by claiming he did nothing wrong.

Of course he did something wrong. From the few links I've seen on this thread alone, the guy was a jerk. As evil as people like to make EA out to be, I have yet to hear of them randomly going around and banning people because they feel like it.

When you use their forums, you sign to their TOS. If you cannot follow that TOS, don't post there. It's that simple.

I have to agree. There are always multiple sides to a story, and we're only hearing the victim's side here. He seems like a prick (maybe he's not, I don't know), and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if EA had good reason to ban his account.

..So get a new EA account. Not that hard. Or, you know, appeal. As long as you're not insipid about it, and try reason, EA would probably restore/grant anew. Terms of Service, man. You break the terms, it's still a contract, they can still deny service.

Why is this such a big deal? When I got banned from WoW, I also got banned from the forums. Why can't it work vice versa?

True, though the issue is that the site has the ability to stop you from playing the single-player from a game you bought with out reimbursement.

Yeah, but they didn't. If he already registered his game, then he can keep playing, doesn't require anything else. If he wants to get new DLC downloaded to the game, he can make a new account.

He's not even inconvenienced by this.
