EA Says Penises Are Fine, But No Boobs, Please

giant penis monsters [http://www.ea.com], but a purple boob beast has apparently gone beyond the borders of good taste.

Spore [http://www.gamesradar.com/pc]creature was flagged by EA for violating its terms of service.

Following the creation of a hideously deformed giant penis monster by Tim Edwards of PC Gamer U.K., which he claimed in a CVG post as the world's Boobalicious [http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=190457&site=pcg].

Unfortunately for her, the four-legged funbagger stood out from the multi-thousand-strong phallic phalanx, earning the attention of EA's customer relations department, which sent her the following email:

Your Electronic Arts account has been flagged for violating the Electronic Arts Inc Terms of Service. We believe that the violation or behavior is serious enough to bring to your attention as it may impact your future access to the service.

Violation: Inappropriate Content -Creature
Violation Type: Nudity
Asset Name:Boobalicious

Understanding the EA Terms of Service is extremely important, should you have any general questions or concerns please review the Terms of Service. Should you then need additional assistance, or wish to appeal a violation, you can contact us.

Sincerely,
Customer Support

I take it my pink, gentle & rippling, flower-shaped creature isn't going to go over well either?

I don't know what to say here other than that I still don't like EA very much.

I think it's because a lot of creatures could be phallus-shaped without even being that on purpose. Boobs are much more identifiable. Also, I'm guessing 99.9999999% of EA's staff are man. sexism who said that????

Honostly, what did they (EA) expect? They're giving the ability to create any type of creature to a world of immature people. There's going to be sex jokes left and right. I do find it to be hypocritical that they'd allow a Penis ceature and not a Breast Creature, but that's besides the point. Go on any gaming site where you can upload vids, and you will find a multitude of sexually themed creatures from Spore that people created on the first day of the demo.

So EA employees are fine with looking at piles of penises, yet they can't stand looking at a pair of tits?

The awesome part is that if you look at that thing from the other side you'll probably find it's got a pretty fantastic ass, too.

Well we can all admit that one of the creatures is definitely more titillating than the other. That said, EA needs to let nature just take its course.

Just proves EA is gay. They love penises and hate boobs. (I don't actually mind EA)

On another note, I was looking forward to spore until I actually saw most of the created creatures. All of them have something coming out of their anus. Arm, leg, another FACE, you name it. I wouldn't be surprised if in the actual game you're given the choice of customizing your creature's number of anuses...

The double standard over geneital portrayl in the entertainment industries is just irritating in the extreme.

In my opinion that hardly counts EA asked for this, maybe they wanted to create a new type of porn and have the WHOLE world have a go at it.
