EA Wants to Make Wii U an Origin Exclusive

Combine Origins with any console or game and I will make sure to never touch it. origins can fuck off and die with EA. Why did I choose gaming as my hobby? It's clear all these companies wants to do is screw us over. Online always has already ruined PC gaming for me, if it goes to consoles I'll have nothing left.

This could be a good move as getting the full back of EA could lead to some interesting exclusives................though this could also lead to some sort of Mega monopoloy that has too much market power but meh Microsoft seems to do well

The WiiU is going to be shit anyway, so I say let EA have it. It will be a match made in heaven.
A few things:
1) If Nintendo wants to rebuild its relationship with us, how about they release all the games western gamers have been asking for?

Exactly. Speaking as someone who has actually used Origin (for the BF3 beta), it's actually a solid little Digital Distribution platform -- kind of somewhere between GoG and Steam in terms of how much of a pain in the butt it is, being slightly less of one than Impulse -- it's much better than any online platform Nintendo has ever made, is what I'm saying. The only reason anyone dislikes it is because of the spyware clause in the EULA, but let's be honest here: that's only an issue because Origin is, so far, PC only. With the consoles, whatever company manufactures the system knows what hardware and software you're using at all times anyway; that clause is par for the course in Console land.lacktheknack said:

I say "maybe" for EA, because if they're the only one, it'll push away anybody who doesn't think that Origin-only justifies the purchase. Now say if I had Steam as well, I could play my Steam games on it, and then maybe there are a few games on Origin I can't get on Steam. Maybe then I'd get those Origin games. But that situation is only possible if I had bought the Wii-U in the first place because of variety. I'm not gonna buy a Wii-U if there's only four games I'd ever play on it from an online service.
