I feel for you I really do. You're going to have to watch ALL of the movies. I've caught glimpses when my sister's watching it and it is SO SHIT! My friend says the books are better, and in a discussion we had, apparently one book features the werewolf falling in love with a hal-human half-vampire baby. Bestiality, necrophilia and paedophillia in one!

Holy Bratwurst - I think that frisbee's a candidate for a new screensaver. That was indeed a stroke of genius.

Already had quite a good time reading those news about the twilight author being bored with vampires. Seriously, if I was writing just another followup to a story to which I dedicated a good deal of my life and I was sleeping off while writing it ... I'd really start considering a Zen-boot-camp or something.

On the other hand, after watching those puppies force-hugging emo-vamps for some dozen times, I've gotta feeling that I just lost enough gray matter to write a vampire novel myself.

Somebody stop me ... please ...

Good god man, i feel so sorry for you. I would eat my own face if i had to sit through that movie.

Also, Twilight made it gay to be a vampire fan, and i hate it. Vamps used to be so cool.

F*CK F*CK F*CK F*CK SH*T SH*T SH*T SH*T AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
ENOUGH WITH THE EMO BOY SH*T I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!
*Ahem*
Really this is scary. No one needs to see this Movie.

My feels are also kinda shared with Bob on the whole making a women a shy underling of the men. It's really just so bad that if my theory is correct. ALL I mean ALL known teenage girls that just "LOVE TEAM EDWARD, LOVE TEAM JACKOB." sh*t, will all end up r@pe victims because THEY wanted to GET JIGGY WITH IT right now at the teenage level.

DEAR GOD WHY WAS THIS EVEN MADE??

*ahem*
Again sorry for the spam. Needed to get that off my chest

Oh Btw. Has anyone seen the McDonalds Commerical for their Twilight: Eclipse toys. *Sigh*

Thank you! It's nice to hear someone criticize Twilight for the things it actually deserves to be criticized for, rather than just blindly saying "IT SUCKS I HATE IT!".

Bad writing and character development is forgivable in a passing fad, but the underlying message Twilight conveys is just scary. I mean, when you take away all the shallow "love" in this series, what you're left with is an 18 year old girl who forgoes a college education in order to get married and have a baby with her manipulative highschool boyfriend. As an 18-year-old girl myself, I find that INCREDIBLY offensive, and I cannot believe that a) it was written by a woman and b) there are women supporting it. This is not the kind of message young women should even be hearing in 2010, let alone getting behind - I am hideously ashamed of my gender.
My best wishes go out to you to just murder anyone who utters the phrase "Team Jackob" or "Team Edward". (Kidding). As a 16 year old boy, I really do share that statement in ALL of its entirity

Well that video was bland and exactly what I was expecting. I can't get over that he's clearly one of the people that ***** that "Oh dis not real vampires. Dem just faggots." I'm not saying that it wasn't a bad movie but as a movie reviewer his intentions should be to give an unbiased clear reivew of a movie. He obviously started watching the movie with the intent on how he was going to pick it apart in the review.

finally someone says it besides me!! i said this when the first movie came out. oh god please rip apart the bloody airbender movie. the anime was faster paced action than this, they completely white-washed the whole movie(no offense, but this movie is supposed to be based on asian cultures)and it was directed by bloody M. Night Shamalan! (only 1 good move and that was...damn something to do with mazes. and even it was an acquired taste.) if they had tim burton or pirates of the caribbean director doing this it would not be the crap where seeing now

I have bad news for you, Bob. It may even be scarier than you think. It is possible that Twilight is popular not despite its message, but because of its message. There may be an audience who agrees with the message and this audience is large enough to make this series ridiculously popular. I find that very scary because this means all of that equality stuff has been a waste of time. At least for these people. That's not just scary, it's reprehensible.

I've used Bob's "Vampire Abstinence Porn" line to describe my desire to not see Twilight any time someone brings the movie up, so I guess I never really saw the subliminal message of these movies until Bob pointed it out (mostly because I've never seen any of the movies)

I'm glad Bob doesn't hate movies that have a message, but I think he might have a scary point there. Maybe someone needs to pull on the reigns of this series a little. Maybe make Bella a little more independent or something? Hell, I don't know.

I really never caught these "undertones" that everyone and their dog seem to harp on about abstinence and yada yada yada. Don't see it. Is it good? Not really. Bores to me tears.

But hearing it said nearly a half-dozen times in the space of the review, it starts to give me tinnitus. Where is this written? Maybe it's not as shallow as it looks, or maybe it's so shallow that people have to dig through it and hit dirt to actually derive substance from it, even if it has nothing to do with it.

Can't figure it out for the life of me, and I'm not watching it again to find out for sure.
