sorry to say that San Diego is part of California and according to the region map that makes it a Western state. However I can still put it up as an option for western states.

Does anyone know how many cities we should have as options for each region before we make a poll to figure out the city that would represent the region?

Hey the Aussiescapists turned out all right, I'm sure we can pull this off. Although I have to ask, have you been to an IRL meeting or are you just afraid of randome people on the internet? I'm not saying that either is bad, hell I wouldn't show up at an IRL meeting of anywhere but this site.

at this point we're trying to come up with places for the vast space that is the US. look at the OP to see the submitted towns and a map of the regions I'm going off of to determine what town goes where.

One more thing, guys and gals: when I did a user search by country, almost 4000 popped up for the US. If you know somebody or are friends with somebody who you know or even think might be interested, let them know, and direct them here. This isn't a definite yet, so the biggest thing is gauging the interest.

ill second that san diego, admittedly, im being sorta selfish, but i live in southern arizona, so no way am i making san francisco or denver. also i want to volunteer the idea of making these events over spring break, or if we are thinking long term, perhaps summer break so that we get the most participants.

Well, jim, unless you would like to go to the eastern meeting (which, being closer to actual Escapist headquarters, as well as closer to you, I can understand) I officially invite you to the Midwest Escapism (yes the one that has no place, time, date, events, or even a confirmation of existence yet). Someone as prestigious as yourself deserves nothing less than the full Midwestern experience. Minus the cows.

We should do Tulsa for the midwest, because I live near there.

Flexability is good, i like flexibility, it lets me plan shit. Keep in touch...
