"Facts" about movies/shows/games most people don't know.

John Lassiter, who ran/runs Pixar used to work as an animator for Disney. He originally came up with an idea for an animated movie about A toaster who goes to look for his master with a bunch of his friends/appliances. The movie? Brave Little Toaster, based off the kid's book. He wanted to make the movie with Hand Drawn Animation and CG, a first.

The Shocker: Lassiter was actually fired for coming up with such a stupid idea. After that, he started a little studio called Pixar, and later made Toy Story. John Lassiter now runs Disney, so in the end, who really wins? We all do.

Also to point out: Joe Ranft, who plays the Voice of Weezy in Toy Story 2 and Heimlich in A Bug's Life, played the creepy Pawn Store Owner guy in Brave Little Toaster. Ranft died in 2005 in a car accident.

Also, one more BLT trivia, which is kind of cool: The Composer for Brave Little Toaster is David Newman. David Newman actually has a brother who is a composer. His Brother? Randy Newman. Randy Newman has written all the original music for the Toy Story Movies. A pair of Brother composers working on two (or four, if you want to be specific) movies involved Animated Inanimate Objects? Sounds interesting to me.

Sorry for the Brave Little Toaster Trivia. Everybody just remembers the Clown, and there is more than that.

also at the end of Die hard (cant remember if it was one or 3) they told the actor they were going to let him go on the count of 3, instead they let him go on one so his reaction was genuine

in Terminator 2 the actress who played sarah connor had a twin, so they used her in a scene where she opens up the terminators head and also during the climactic fight at the end

This is true of a great many movies where musical instruments (especially the vocal chords) are involved. I watched Desperado again last night and there are definitely parts where Antonio Banderas is not playing the guitar (he is also lip synching). Raine Wilson is fakin' it in The Rocker (which you shouldn't see anywho, as it is a far lesser knockoff of School of Rock).

Similarly, David Bowie actually had someone else behind him for the contact juggling scene in Labyrinth.

Jackie Chan is the Chinese dub actor for Shang in Disney's Mulan. He was also the original dub actor for the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. On the Region 1 2-disc release of Mulan, the Mandarin dub is an available language option.

Jackie Chan also keeps his personal life very secret because when it was revealed that he was married, at least two fangirls committed suicide because of it. I think we can all agree that Jackie doesn't deserve that.

The first Land Before Time movie has a little over 10 minutes of completed animation cut out of it by producers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for being too scary for kids. Nevertheless, the movie was a box office hit. It is said that in Finland, the uncut version exists, but has never come back for redistribution worldwide. *Shakes fist at Finland*

I'm not sure how many people new this but I've never seen it mentioned...

I just finished Portal 2 today (I got it very late) and while the credits song was playing I noticed that on the credits the personality cores (apart from Wheatley obviously) are all voiced by one person, and that person is Nolan North...

NOLAN NORTH IS THE SPACE CORE!!! He is instantly forgiven for Nathan Drake and Desmond Miles.

Not to mention the Adventure core. I almost lost the final battle because I was just hopping around, listening to him ramble and hit on Chell. If I could, I would get an Atlas robot body and put Adventure core in it.

Monkey Island was supposed to be made into a movie, but something happened... and the scrip later got turned into Pirates of the Caribbean...
