Fake, and I'd like to see the next Fallout set in China. Show the other side of the story.

Also, incorporating a frozen wasteland in there would be cool, too.
The entire point of Fallout is America after the end of the world, there wont ever be a Fallout set in another country
The entire point of Fallout is exploring a post apocalyptic wasteland and interacting with the inhabitants. People can scream about how all Fallouts have been in America thus far, and therefore all Fallouts should be, but the truth is the setting of America does not offer anything new at this point. It has grown stale, and I think a change would be nice.
Im just stating the facts, the fallout series was based on the nuclear fears of the 50's and 60's in America, having it set in another country means that it wouldnt be Fallout anymore. Im not saying I wouldnt like to see a Fallout in a different country, that could be interesting, im just saying that it wont happen.

They actually tried to have a fallout in China, but it was canceled because it made no sense at all. It was called Fallout: Extreme, and covered a war between a wannabe Chinese Emperor against the California BOS. The Chinese were angry about how they threw everything they got, but they were worse off even if they were only hit with a portion of America's nukes. Someone later became a wannabe emperor at the forbidden city, and started construction of nuclear weapons so they could strike the only hope America had at the time, the California BOS. It was set before fallout 2 and tactics, so the NCR didn't exist yet and the BOS didn't break and spread across the U.S either. The BOS sent troopers up through Alaska and onto the Chinese mainland where the PC would have a final fallout 1 master-esque battle with the emperor at the forbidden city to save the American wasteland from the new Chinese threat.

As I said, it makes no damn sense.
The hell did i just read? That doesnt make sense, If a fallout in a country did happen it would need to have no connections to the previous fallouts, all the creatures and organizations only exist in America.
Just another reason why Fallout just works so much better is that it has more impact when you see a nation and its great monuments that everyones heard of or seen reduced to rubble.
China wouldnt have that impact because many more people in the world can relate to America much better. The Escapist did an article on it a while back but i cant remember its name for the life of me

it's fake, but I gotta say what I'm most looking forward to in Fallout 4 at least at this second, is another real intro by Ron Perlman. New Vegas's intro was too focused on the politics of vegas, and didn't seem like a regular fallout intro. I can't wait to hear Ron Perlman's silky chocolate voice wax on about the futility of war and man's inhumanity to man... cause war..

war never changes.

No, that's Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout 4 has yet to be released or announced.
besides, if we're going by that stupid 'the number is the number of computer games in the franchise that have been released' rule so many people (Like the CoD people) seem to want to follow, Fallout 3 is actually Fallout 5. or something.

Anyway, no, the trailer is a fake. A well made one, but still a fake.

Although fake, I want Fallout in Atlanta! I want to see my own city burned to the ground. Also the fact that Atlanta is completely forgotten about.

I thought of this before:
Raiders(Punks) in a camp in the palace
Pigeon meat a regular meal
Depraved Jack the Ripper esque mission
Working city with some post apocalyptic Victorianism.

Well what if we do somewhere else in the US? I mean, we've done the North East. We've done the South West. So that takes out some major areas. What about the South East? Like, Florida or something? Ya know? Like, with Fallout 3, there was the urban post-apocalyptic setting, and with New Vegas we had the south-western country post-apocalyptic setting. So how about something tropical? I think it'd be sweet. Plus, there could be a whole new set of creatures for them to use. I don't know, that's just my opinion. I feel like if they were to take the series abroad, they'd have to choose the location very carefully. I mean, I don't feel like scavenging around the Portuguese Wasteland. Plus, wasn't the idea of Fallout basically the the remains of America after a nuclear war with China? Taking the game abroad would basically abandon that basic idea, and would make the game a little less authentic, no? Bah, whatever, I'm just babbling late at night. My ideas will probably change in the morning.

This...

OT: Yea, definitely fake as San Fran has been done. Each Fallout game has been set in a different part of America. I think they should go for an eastern coast game... New York or so. So far it's all been set in the west (Nevada, Washington DC, San Fran, etc)

Europe would be cool for FO4 but I think what I really want to see would be a Fallout set in Texas. A ravaged Houston to explore would be awesome, and they could have the DLC be in San Antonio(Alamo) and one in Austin/New Brounfels area, maybe even one where u go south of the border. and cant forget Big Bend. Dont see this ever happening but I would love it.

It's been done- Brotherhood of Steel. Although I would not blame you for denying its existence.

Oh really? Huh... well aside the fact that I'm English, my Geography is crap anyway :p
So why is it called Washington DC if it's in Maryland and Washington (the state) is on the other side of the continent?

I thought Brotherhood of Steel was set in Chicago? Or am I thinking of Fallout Tactics?

According to The Vault: Brotherhood of Steel is in Carbon, Texas. Tactics is in Chicago.

I hope it's fake. Fallout 3 is my favorite game (with well over 1000 years put in), but F:NV proved to me that too much of a good thing truly is a bad thing. I rushed through the game and only did enough to get all the trophies/achievements. Should have spent another year or more playing, but I just wanted to get it over with. If Fallout 4 IS in the works, I don't want it to come out until at least 2013, and frankly I'd be fine with waiting until 2015.

Gee, that would be so nice. I am going bongo.
I replay New Vegas again to really have every angle played on that game.
I hope that it is true, even though it may be fake.

My only complain about New Vegas was that the leveling was crap. If you go to every location you end up maxed out before you hit the climax.
But i enjoyed New Vegas and think it is better than 3.
