Fallout Vancouver. Seems like a good place for a video game. A city surrounded by mountains to the north and east with a highway leading from a gap which would be a good natural barrier and we would get to see some pretty mountains. Also maybe the California republic could be going into Canada from the south.

Also we could fight bears or ride them with guns. Totally awesome.

But on another note - Fallout: El Paso/Juarez - whatever - would work if they simply changed the border attitudes.
If, say, in the past, the Americans built a nigh-unscaleable, almost indestructible wall to stop all immigration and trade with a deadly, incurable virus wracked Mexico - and so that wall remained throughout everything, surviving the nuclear apocalypse etc. - until, eventually, its reason for being was forgotten - and instead it was just...there.
You would have to start on the Mexican side, because otherwise it wouldn't work as a Fallout game - we already know the state of America, so the wild conjecture about what lies on the other side of the wall becomes a nod to us, a sly nudge under the table as we explore this paranoid community of survivors, unsure about what the wall is there for, but determined to not find out at any cost, paralysed in fear for their own pathetic livelihoods.
Or something.

To bad it will never happen because when people think of Nashville, they think Country Music, with, IMO would be a huge turnoff to some (not me!)
It is for me. I fucking hate country music, and that may be partially because there's SIX COUNTRY STATIONS ON AIR HERE! TIBJretihjryihjjrsyihjrsygihjyjyu

Thank god there's a good rock station. I can drown out the twang with Metallica whenever I want.

The music wouldn't turn me off of Fallout: Nashville though. I can't stand the music in all of the other Fallout games, but instead of not playing I simply replace the music with metal. Does it fit the setting? Not really. Do I care? NOPE!
Yes, 102.9 (if we're thinking of the same station) is Jesus's gift to those of us who prefer Rock in Middle TN.

OT: Fallout: Volgograd

Because who wouldn't want to re-enact the Battle of Stalingrad against raiders?

I think Berlin would be cool. Considering that two German citizens made Communism and Nazism. We could see those two factions duke it out. The rest of the factions would fall inbetween the specrum. Also Germany makes many differant guns and in Fallout lore they created Gauss weapons, they're also known for technological breakthroughs, that's why we get crap like Nazis having alien allies, many of the things they had back then was superior to what the Allies had availible.

We have a country that has created the two extreames on the political spectrum, makes many fine guns and has lead the way to many scientific and engineering breakthroughs. Add on top of that a chance to shape the lore of what happened to Europe after the great war and we have the perfect spot to have a Fallout game.

Texas would be a good place to have a Fallout game happen, LOTS of guns, and lots of crazies to shoot, probably fill the place with deathclaws
They did that, look up the abomination that is Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. Never before has the lore been so theroughly raped.

Fallout: Montreal. Just imagine a cold nuclear wasteland.
Count me in. Or Vancouver. Or Ronto. Probably the three best bets for Canada, really.

If only because a little bit of departure from their usual BOS storylines could help the series.

And because adding the aftermath of the Annex could add some intrigue and could bring some good stories.

And adding freezing to the survival feel of Fallout could make things intense.

Oh and get me some giant radbeavers!!!

Fallout Whiting...
It would be the shortest Fallout ever because of how small my town is.
Unless it had Super Mutants who took over places around it or something.
In which case I may move from my home in the woods before they come and kill me.

Isn't that why they had the game retconned?
I heard it did that,I also hear that it sucked ass.

I hope they make fallout D.C. I would totally play that...
I hope that is a joke (I didn't read the whole thread so maybe I am missing something).

I am not really sure what city I would hope for, but I could really see them doing a non canon (like New Vegas) in the South. My guess is New Orleans with it touching on some Eastern Texas areas and maybe Florida for DLC's.

As for actual canon, I bet they go back out West to tie in with the original series.

Toronto. Fuck yea.

However, there is only one reasonable location for the next Bethesda game. Blackmarsh! God damn, do it already!

They should...because no offence to anyone or anything or Bethesda but the story of Fallout 1 and 2 > then the story of Fallout 3.
'Cept for the father and son/daughter thing.

ak93]Fallout Sydney would be sweet. Or Fallout Toronto... basically anywhere other then the States (it's been done, let's move on to a new country)
No offense but it really wouldn't be Fallout if it were were anywhere but the U.S. or China. As everything that Fallout is revolves around these two countries.

A post apocalyptic game set in Sydney or Toronto would be cool, but it wouldn't be Fallout if you get what I'm saying.

OT: Salt Lake or Orlando would be awesome... I would say China, but I fear it would be bogged down with either borderline racist accents or too many subtitles. Written language would also be a huge hurdle.

Fallout: Houston

Well... since everyone thought FO:BoS was crap... why not try a do-over and actually get it right this time?

Thing is... it'd have to be large enough to include Galveston so that there's a port and be able to do stuff with pirates... or something.

Fallout: Canadian Rockies. Mountainous terrain with snow would make for an interesting change.
The only way it would be distinguishable from Operation Anchorage would be the accents.

Fallout England, were rioting everywhere now, from london to liverpool, this country's going down!
"Here's a picture of London"
"Oh my god!"
"Yeah, and here's a picture after the war"
I lol'd yeah, man what's going on across the atlantic?

As much as I know you Europeans would love to see a Fallout somewhere else other than America, I kind of think it would kill the design quirk that Fallout has, that is, 1950's America in the Future.

Now, I'm all for some kind of Nuclear Apocalypse RPG that takes place in one of these places, like London, but I don't really know if Fallout is the best franchise to do it.
