Well, in this case they are doing the sequel to something that they created in the first place, as many people at Obsidian worked on Fallout 1 and 2.Yog Sothoth said:Why does Obsidian always get handed the sequels these days? They did Knights of the the Old Republic II and Neverwinter Nights 2, both of which were ok games, but not spectacular... Am I the only one here who's not holding their breath?
You found lock picking in Oblivion hard, huh? Odd, I found it ridiculously easy. No door could keep me out that didn't require a key.Rednog said:I never really though lock picking was that big of a problem in fallout, I think it was far easier than the completely annoying system in Oblivion.jimduckie said:gee as long as they let you create a auto lock pick tool i'm really looking forward to fallout nv...
Who's the developer? If it's Bethesda it will still crash, alot.Furburt said:Thank fuck!
They listened! They listened to my incessant e-mails complaining to them and asking them to make it harder than the cakewalk FO3 was!
Or perhaps they didn't, I don't know. Anyway, they seem to have taken the best parts of the FWE mod and turned it into something that won't crash my computer when I load it in the wrong order!
Well, that's the difficulty fixed, now if they've made the gore less stupid and more like the originals, then I'm in heaven.
In Fallout 3 achievements are pretty much watered down, given even for stuff like character creation in the tutorial. It's good to see them being given for something that can be an actual achievement, for a change.dogstile said:Achievements are meant to be for doing something that not everyone would do, or something insanely cool, or something hard. If every time a game was announced with a harder setting and achievements for that harder setting never happened I would barely play that setting unless I wanted to annoy myself.
The developer is Obsidian.archvile93 said:Who's the developer? If it's Bethesda it will still crash, alot.
Maybe I just didn't get the tumbler system, but I would break at least 1 or 2 picks everytime on anything that wasn't easy. But I meant it more of the fallout system was faster, shift pick turn screwdriver for torque, you win.-Drifter- said:You found lock picking in Oblivion hard, huh? Odd, I found it ridiculously easy. Sure, I know that many people on the Obsidian team worked on Fallout 1 & 2, but let's be honest, that was a long time ago, and Fallout 2 really had some serious issues at least until it was patched...Ausir said:Well, in this case they are doing the sequel to something that they created in the first place, as many people at Obsidian worked on Fallout 1 and 2.Yog Sothoth said:Why does Obsidian always get handed the sequels these days? Thank god. Does Bethesda playtest anything they make, or do they just skip the beta stage like I suspect?Furburt said:Nope, Obsidian entertainment are the ones making it.archvile93 said:Who's the developer? If it's Bethesda it will still crash, alot.
I hear they're quite reliable.
Click on my profile to see what it was in September, when I was last on Live. Then add 11,000 to that.Donnyp said:Are you an "Achievement whore"?Onyx Oblivion said:I don't want to drink water...
As long as no achievements are linked to it, I'm cool.
SERIOUSLY! DON'T LINK HARDCORE TO ANY ACHIEVEMENTS!
I told one of the devs about your post, now it's on!Slayer_2 said:Great, now how am I gonna make FNV Reborn? Still, I'm betting the "hardcore" mode won't be as hardcore as my mod, so I'm sure I'll have something to do.
