Who's the developer? If it's Bethesda it will still crash, alot.
Nope, Obsidian entertainment are the ones making it.

I hear they're quite reliable.
KOTOR II had a fair amount of glitches. I think it will crash rather a bit, BUT that is something that just about every great western RPG has...

I approve of this move by Obsidian.

Good to see that the original developers are steering Fallout in the direction it deserves to be moving in the general direction of! :D

Well, I suppose if you wanted to add some ore realism to it, it could be a little fun

I always caried water and food on me in Fallout 3

ya know...'cause I totally roleplay the crap out of it...

I even sit down to eat and converse with others when in a town, "waiting" and hour or two to represent the time that would pass irl

Sounds Intense. One more reason to get this game on top of all the others. Looking forward to it.

I've been reading all about what this game is gonna have and i honestly cannot wait. Fallout 3 got me into the series and now I want to play the other ones in the franchise (I know the first two arent the same style, please dont tell me what i already know lol) but this game has alot of potential

As long as no achievements are linked to it, I'm cool.

SERIOUSLY! DON'T LINK HARDCORE TO ANY ACHIEVEMENTS!

you know what'd be really HARDCORE? Getting rid of "Save Anywhere". This way you can't just save before every battle, and replay it if you end up in a bad situation.
yes, but then they will lose there noob market, thus they have to make it so you can save before every battle, making it easier for those who know they will die in almost every battle.....

srry, im just angry.....

That actually sounds quite interesting. Who knows, if water isn't the only thirst quencher, whiskey and the alcohols might finaly have a point in the game besides selling it

Thank fuck!

They listened! They listened to my incessant e-mails complaining to them and asking them to make it harder than the cakewalk FO3 was!

Or perhaps they didn't, I don't know. Anyway, they seem to have taken the best parts of the FWE mod and turned it into something that won't crash my computer when I load it in the wrong order!

Well, that's the difficulty fixed, now if they've made the gore less stupid and more like the originals, then I'm in heaven.
I kind of like the ridiculous gore Bloody Mess gives you, i get to watch a body exploding into 100s of pewices in slowed-down VATS what I've always wanted, maybe it will be in the options on what gore level you want. like Realisitic -> Ridiculous -> Bloody-Mess-explosion-of-blood-athon

Although Las Vegas confuses me, It wasnt until i read about he Hoover dam on the Vault that i figure'd how it all workes.

Just being a nit-picky bastard here, but doesn't alcohol dehydrate you?

OT: I haven't heard much about New Vegas, but I loved Fallout 3 so I'm definitely keeping this on my radar.

I hope this game will be kinda different. It would be cool to see it change up. I also think that Fallout 4 should wait till after this game before they start designs. Just to gauge off success and failure.

So they are making FO:NV more STALKER:SoC-y? Ok, but Hardcore mode still won't be hardcore enough. Someone will mod it to require naps, realistic broken shoelaces, and eczema. Oh, and for part of the game your dog has to wear a cone around his neck to stop licking himself. Now that is hardcore.

Well it will be staff from Obsidian making it, so you're wish may come true

also, i'm all for this supposed "HARDCORE" mode, but it should be called "Realistic" Mode or something else, "HARDCORE" doesn't sit well with me.

gee as long as they let you create a auto lock pick tool i'm really looking forward to fallout nv...
I never really though lock picking was that big of a problem in fallout, I think it was far easier than the completely annoying system in Oblivion. Though I think they should have a system where you can try to blow away/ open a locked item with a gun or melee weapon with the downfall being that the items contained inside could be damaged if they were fragile things.
I definitely agree with you on the Fallout lock picking mechanism. I found it fun and challenging. On a related note, throughout my entire DA:O playthrough, all I kept wanting to do was smash open the locked chests. Wanna make it so that some had to be picked? Take the NWN path, and make them out of stone, or magical or something.

Nice! They probably won't do anything about the bottlecaps though. By the end of Fallout 3 I had more than 50,000 of those bad boys. I could just imagine a wastelander walking around with three garbage bags full of caps. Very excited about this release. I played through Fallout 3 twice on the PS3 before I broke down and bought another copy for my 360 so I could play the expansions.
