I know it was called New Reno, but I'm positive it was refered to new as New Vegas aswell in Fallout 2. (I could be wrong though, but I'm sure I heard it somewere)DarkSaber said:You mean "New Reno" NOT "New Vegas". God I hope they haven't just tried to follow the continuity and fell on their faces again.Patrick_and_the_ricks said:Looks like Bethesda is following the original story line of Vegas being rebuilt in the old Fallout games. (I think that happened in Fallout 2)
Ladies and gentlemen, we have one who has not yet become part of the collective...notyouraveragejoe said:This actually looks really sweet. I've never played any of the Fallout games but this one looks really interesting. I'll have to check it out.
There was no mention of your character having amnesia anywhere. He was carrying a package as a courier, was attacked, barely survived, and now wants to know who attacked him and what exactly was in the package.CoverYourHead said:Aside from the disappointment of an amnesia based story line, I'm incredibly excited... Which will probably bite me in the ass, later.
thats what worries me.... I want the feel of the first 3(no Tactics) with the vegas setting.Fallout: New Vegas will offer "a brand new, fresh experience that has a familiar feel of Fallout, but otherwise it's an entirely new game and a new look, with Joshua trees and tumbleweeds and blue skies,"
Er...yeah, GTA, just add:Aby_Z said:So... post-apocalyptic GTA? That sounds awesome, I think...
Oh for fucks sake![HEADING=2]Fallout: New Vegas "Will Take Hundreds of Hours to Explore"[/HEADING]
Yea, post-apocalyptic GTA. Just like I said.Normalgamer said:Er...yeah, GTA, just add:Aby_Z said:So... post-apocalyptic GTA? That sounds awesome, I think...
Stats,
Customization to a whole new level,
Morality decisions even more,
Tons of weapons and specializations,
actually good conversations with NPCs,
Did I mention the fact you actually creat your character from the ground-up? Such as being able to be either a crazy grenade-throwing bastard, a assault-rifling saint, or a sneaky thief?
Yeah, GTA, just add all that.
Have you wet your pants yet?The Vault said:Fallout: New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, a company founded by Feargus Urquhart and Chris Avellone, two of the makers of Fallout 2 (originally at Black Isle Studios). The project is led by J.E. Sawyer, one of the lead designers of Van Buren, the canceled Fallout 3 project by Black Isle Studios. John R. Gonzalez is the lead creative designer, while Obsidian founder Chris Avellone, who worked on Fallout 2 and Van Buren is a senior designer. Joe Sanabria is the lead artist.
Have to say the same here, although the idea of it taking up hundrteds of hours of my life... My girlfriend is not going to like that.Furburt said:I...can't help it.....getting....optimistic....about....game....
I hope and I pray this turns out to be better than Fallout 3 (which was pretty damn good) in every way!
Otherwise I will be, in Pimppeter2's words, a sad banana.
Aww, that's unfair. Nova was a real hooker. The sex was just, well, implied.JohnRLRF said:Im wondering if they have public transportation, and real hookers this time.
A-ha, but this is New Vegas! Your logic is flawed! Seriously though, I expect New Vegas will have plenty of Fallout touches. Just because it wasn't leveled two hundred years previous, doesn't mean it won't be a true Fallout location. It is set in an alternate reality after all. Besides, it's not as if you're only going to be running around Vegas. There's still plenty of new stuff and places to explore.ItsAPaul said:As cool as it sounds, running around Vegas isn't a Fallout game.
