Favorite/Least Favorite Final Fantasy Protagonist

Hehe, it wasn't terrible but at the time I was just like... "Uhh... what?" but the whole setting grew on me.
But yeah, the music is great, like I tried to post to you earlier, so I'll do it again here just so I can hear it xD
Yeah, I see what you mean but... I don't know I just liked her throughout for some reason. Perhaps it's because of the look, I don't know but she did have some moments of just sorta "Shut the fuck up" but... oh wait, I'm thinking of Rikku, never mind. Still liked her too but she was a bit annoying to me in the beginning
Hm. Well, I think it was because I played Kingdom Hearts before I played any Final Fantasy and I liked him from that on so he just stuck with me for whatever reason :3

He's okay and I liked that he was really douchey to begin with and then just grew into the hero he wanted to be towards the end. Of course though, Vanille is always superior ^_^

Eh...I'll say from my memories from when I played it, which was at the age of 12...I was too busy fucking about in the Golden Saucer. This is a comfy fence. XD But nah, I didn't find him all too whiny. Sure, he had a ***** now and then but Cait Sith just sort of barged in, tea-bagged my mind and is now my FF VII hate figure. ...Shortly after Yuffie. Materia stealing cow...¬¬

Yeah, that's what threw me off the game when I first played it, a coupla days after finishing X. But yeah, the setting is great, plus the main villains are good. I quite liked Lenne and Shuyin.
And damn you! I need to find a site on my mobile phone that'll let me download that to it. I've got Otherworld on it, which is the music from the scene where Sin trashes Zanarkand.
Hmm, maybe it's her back-story that makes you like her too, as well as her dress sense? As she does have a pretty interesting back-story, albeit one filled with death, and her own personal reason to be on that ship with the others. I've not got all of the spheres yet that detail her past though. And Rikku in FF X-2 sort of pisses me off. She's bearable as she's pretty funny at times but they just killed her. I touched on this before but they completely changed her character from FF X from clever young Al Bhed girl to a ditzy silly Al Bhed girl. It just doesn't really make sense to turn her character around so much.
Ah, I've never played Kingdom Hearts so no comment there. XD

Yeah, plus he saved Serah too. I'm just looking forward to XIII-2, see where they go from there. I know a bit about the story and it seems to be a bit like X-2's, find out what happened to somebody and if you can save them. And Vanille is superior.

Probably. I like those sort of tragic characters who still are relatable and likable throughout and with sexy dress sense, so that's even better ^_^
However, yeah Rikku was pretty terrible. Loved her in X but she was just annoying in X-2. Changed her from a smart, cute and lovable character to a blonde bimbo type. Weird choice but... I suppose they have their reasons >.>
I'm honestly just tired of seeing Rikku hentai everywhere <..>
Really should play Kingdom Hearts though, but you know my opinion of the series already, so I shan't reiterate ;P

My favorite is any of the first 8 protagonists in FFVI, because they all have good character development and my least favorite is probably Cloud. He has little to no character development, which is bad for a protagonist.

Cecil, Auron, Kain are my favorites. Tho I don't like Cecil as much when he turns into a paladin, he's still an alright character.

Most hated: Pretty much everyone else. save for a few choice ones like Tifa, Rydia, Terra, Edge, Barret, Freya, and Fran. All the others pretty much annoyed me in one way or another. Tho if your looking for single most hated we can sum it all up quickly for you. Edward. The fucking bard. I can not put into words how much I hate him. Tidus, Cait sith, Squall, Cloud, Yuffie, none of em got shit on Edward who's just a complete and total pussy.

I liked the X-2 game, strange as it was in comparison to all the others, though what could you expect from the first sequel, but XIII just rubs me wrong... no proper sidequest, no real exploring, no small stories and characters you can follow that dont really belong in the main game but still contribute to the feel of depht in the game... it just isnt Final Fantasy

He was just a immature kid the creators shoe-horned in the game so Balthier wouldn't be considered the main character since piracy in general in a no-no in Japan. I know it's the same for Penelo, but I just found Vaan more annoying.

Heh. I actually hated X-2 when I first played but replaying it now, not blinded by the sheer awesomeness that is X, I'm enjoying it a lot. Heh and I guess I'm in the majority to when I say VIII was good and IX was boring. ...Then again, I never finished it but then again, I never felt like playing it after disc 1 was done. XD

Yeah, that's what sort of threw me off too. But I did enjoy it back then, although I never recognised it as J-Pop at the time, just pop.
Ah, I'm sure there's some way for me to get it. And I actually don't, I've tried looking up the majority of the songs on a mobile website I visit a lot but it only has Otherworld on it, under Rammstien or whatever.
Ah, dark mysterious characters tend to be my draw too. I think that's why I like Auron as well, as well as him being a total badass. But yeah, Paine also fills the dark, moody and totally badass character type, to an extent.
I think that may have been why the fan-service rumours started flying around. Make her dumber and sexier to entice the teenage fans. But she's still likeable in X-2, I just don't agree with what they did. At least they didn't do the same to Yuna and in fact made her sort of stronger and a bit more laid back.
And I've not seen any of the hentai surrounding FF games. ... << *Ahem* XD
I've looked, none of my local gaming shops stock a copy, nor can I get it online due to me not having a card.

Yeah, it's pretty much that. Lightning's on a quest to see if Fang and Vanille can be somehow restored to life without Cocoon smashing into the ground. Sort of like X-2's where Yuna is looking for Tidus til Vegnagun rocks up to fuck shit up.

And hasn't Versus been on the verge of being released for bloody ever? o.o

Favorite Protagonist: The characters you got to name yourself in the first game who had no personality, because I'd rather come up with my own reasons as to why this party of adventurers gives a flying shit about saving the world.

Least Favorite Protagonist: Tidus. The instant I saw Tidus I felt a very strong dislike for him. Then, because I couldn't stand to constantly have to see him in-game, I watched/took turns playing the game with a friend. My very strong dislike for Tidus quickly spiraled down into a seething hatred for the character.

Favorite: This one's a toughie. Honestly, I like most of the protagonists if I can relate to them. For example, I liked Hope and Lightning because Lightning fought for her sister, whereas Hope fought for his mother, which I respect. I also liked the cast of FFXII just for the depth of character, and FFX was my first RPG so I'm completely biased. I do have to say, though, I really liked Yuna as a character.

Least Favorite: This seems almost unfair, but it was so difficult to finish FF and Final Fantasy III (DS) because they didn't have any developed characters.
