I don't watch many Let's Plays, but The Lady of the Lake [http://www.youtube.com/user/xXtheLadyoftheLakexX] is probably my favorite Youtube Let's Player. Mostly because I know her in real life and we're good friends.

She's still pretty new and not very well known, but she's still really good! She's already done a complete Let's Play of an old Sailor Moon game and is currently working on Pokemon Crystal.

I definitely recommend checking her out!

I still feel that I should point out that Let's Plays aren't always videos. There are many great screenshot or even full text LPs around.

I don't like watching, but I love reading humorous screenshot LPs, like The Terrible Secret Of Animal Crossing and Princess Maker 2 on LPArchive.
These are easily up among the best LPs I've enjoyed. The SA Dwarf Fortress LPs are iconic enough to have a proper place in gamer culture. But also: The Freelance Astronauts - Oblivion [http://www.freelanceastronauts.com/games.php?id=3] (Video, and fantastic once the mods roll in); CWB/The Misanthrope - Extreme Warfare Revenge (BSW) [http://www.ewbattleground.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=51158&st=0] (Text, with some screenshots, incredibly written story of backyard wrestling made big time); Zorak - Pokemon Quartz [http://lparchive.org/Pokemon-Quartz/] (Screenshot, utterly goddamn insane Pokemon ROMhack).

But none of this answers the question, I just thought it was worth mentioning. As for my favourite LP? Difficult to answer, because it changes a lot. I'm fickle like that. At the moment, I have to go with Pork Lift and Wateyad for their Final Fantasy XIII [http://lparchive.org/Final-Fantasy-XIII/] LP. It's quite obvious that roughly halfway through, they go insane. It's hilarious and a little unnerving.

EDIT: Completely slipped my mind: Did you know Graham and Paul from LRR have done/are doing Let's Plays? It's true! [http://loadingreadyrun.com/videos/archive/gplp/date/desc/_] There's even one right here, on The Escapist! [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/lets-play] Damn good funtimes.

EDIT 2: Apparently the EWB board put up a registration block on Diaries. It's still worth it.

Four main favourites and maybe more.

SSoHPKC (Seamus): Funny, sarcastic, brutally honest about if a game sucks or massively blows and takes the walk through in a different way to others.
http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVdtW2E4vwvf8yh4FY5us9A

KYR Sp33dy and fellow crew members: Him and the others make any game play so so funny. From GTA Online doing crappy movie reference to Black Ops 2 mayhem, craziness and random and actually turn them all into fun. Its basically a bunch of mates coming together and just having fun and taking the piss out of each other in a tight friendship.
http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEe076nFuVobN0bAsXK7ICw

The Camping Tree (Sp00n): Hilarious voice acting and commenting that makes the games that others wouldn't play, more fun can he adds in commentary. He's a huge Killer Instinct fan and is great at the game.
http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCICngZf7CfJ84sQzAQ1OiUg

Vanoss and fellow crew members: His editing makes the game look 10 times better and he has so much fun doing so. His friends add to the mayhem and insane fun. Watch any of his videos and you won't stop laughing. GTA Online, Black Ops, Ghost, even Dead Rising 3 also, he is great at putting things together and has real talent

To add, I think some have been effected by the YouTube copyright situation but a lot of the videos are still there.

I love me some Matt and Pat. Tried getting into Game Grumps after hearing so much about it but I found it to be painfully unfunny. Aside from those two I look for the game before I look for the LPer so I'm not aware of too many of them.

DSP because he is an excellent case study in the mind of a very bad person who plays cod all day and blames absolutely everything to the game when he ignores simple rules and his ineptitude.

Two Best Friends

Their Resident Evil 2 Let's Play is one of the best things on Youtube. It also taught me the meaning of the phrase 'soup kitchen'.

These are really the only guys I watch.

To me that is pretty much Team Fourstar Play and Two Siyan Play. If you are familiar with their abridged works then you will feel right at home with their Let's Paly videos.

OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD! My first ninja-ing! I hope Pat senpai notices me today.

Jokes aside, I agree with you. I tried watching GG's Bayonetta playthrough, but I stopped in the middle of the first part.
SBFP, meanwhile, provide high-quality commentary, good humor, a lot of info about, well, different stuff and also have random shenenigans videos. Ah, the wall-mart shooping...

I know they don't like to admit it, but Game Grumps is my favorite. Whether it's Arin/Jon or Arin/Danny I find them fun to watch. Steam Train has its moments too.

Spoiler Warning, wherein Shamus Young and his pack of flaming idiots make horrible puns and occasionally play video games.

Is good yo.

Hey I know her, we talk all the time with each other actually. XD

OT: I think my favorite Let's Player is that Roxas1359, such a sexy voice.
I tend to watch Chugga, NCS, ProtonJon, The Runaway Guys, Brainscratch, and more recently SGB's Let's Plays a lot.
I also watch some of the smaller channels and try to promote them as well.

You guys took the words right outta my mouth.
... Now give them back.

I love TBFP. They're surprisingly charming, all things considered, and they're local for me! (I actually got to meet and chat with Woolie at a party my brother and his roommates had!)

I also love Freelance Astronauts, who have been mentioned already. They're a riot, and I can rewatch their LPs again and again.

I used to like Game Grumps, but eventually I stopped enjoying their videos (and their early stuff actually got tainted by my dislike for their later stuff). I stopped watching before Jon left.

I also used to watch Spoiler Warning, and while I still think Mumbles is ADORABLE, I stopped watching because I can't stand Rutskarn (or however you spell that). Also, being someone who (gasp!) didn't like HL2 all that much, their LP of that game was when I stopped watching.

Cry is fun, but I don't like watching his videos if the game has a lot of dialogue, because then there's a lot of dead air where he's not talking at all, and I just can't get enough of that silky smooth voice.

While I'm not a fan of all of their gags, Spike and Barley can be absolutely hilarious. Cr1t1kal is also very fun to watch, if a bit strange at times. I enjoyed Chip and Ironicus's LPs of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand and Cabella's Dangerous Hunts 2011, but I didn't get into their other stuff.

YES. Someone gets it. Clever game concepts, big, varied cast, a ridiculously large stable of running jokes, and above all, hilarious commentary. Actually, damn near everything Rooster Teeth produces is great. You don't even know what "funny" means until you've seen "Rage Quit: Surgeon Simulator".

I just watch theradbrad the few times I LP a game instead of playing it cos he get the vids out fast. His commentary is pretty bad but nowhere near as bad as a lot of them out there.

"WHERE'S HIS FUCKING HEART!? You threw it against the wall like a wet paper towel!"

The fact that the Steam version of the game has achievements based on that Let's Play is just glorious.

Yeah, I gotta go with Achievement Hunter, too. They have made me laugh harder than anything in any medium. One of the things that makes games unique is the ability to, as the protagonist, completely fuck up. That's where AH excels, when the guys end up in a moronic situation because they're all pretty terrible at video games, and their attempts to solve the problem usually just make things worse.

I like Two best friend's play, they essiantly love what I love and make just perfect references, that and when they shit on a game they really shit on it, and when they love a game they really love it.
