As much as I loved sneaking about, I had to shoot that bloody thing empty just to see the reload animation.

Over and over again.
Hell. Yes.

Did you know that if you fire one shell from full, you can reload two more? Might be a glitch.

Broke my heart to drop that gun when I got the Heavy Automatic Shotgun.

The ones in Brink look damn nice, but it's hard to know til the game actually comes out, otherwise, borderlands shotguns. I just love the art style of the guns, they have such crisp and hyper real reaload styles to them.

I don't know if it counts but - as has already been mentioned - there is something almost obscenely satisfying about bolt-action rifles.

I played through Call of Duty 2 using the Kar98k whenever I possibly could, even if a machine gun was more useful, purely because of the enjoyment I got out of that sweet bolt-action movement.

everything about brink makes me jizz. I was actually thinking about the reload animations in this thread. Pity not many people know about it :(

Ontopic: Most of the assault rifle reloads in rainbow six: vegas 2

Probably the 3 shot sniper rifles in Borderlands. I think they look really cool, and I like the reload animation. Or possibly the reload for the M95 Sniper in Battlefield Bad Company 2. I just like Sniper reloads.

I know it's not from a game, but the lever-action flippy thing from Terminator 2.

I think a gun that shoots is superior in a firefight to one that reloads.
Ok, you have a gun that fires but can't reload. You'll show that one target!

Just hope he doesn't have backup.
Let's assume that one gun can only fire the other can only reload (like I said :p).
If this is true, you can't read.
Both guns are broken, this argument is stupid, it's a hypothetical question. Let's all be friends now and talk about cool animations in videogames.

I'd have to agree with the claim of Killer 7 reloads being awesome.

Perfect Dark featured (as far as my gaming experience goes) the first actual polygonal reloads, so I vividly remembering reloading a Falcon 2 in the first mission on top of the dataDyne building and then doing it thrice more just because of how cool it looked.

Also, someone's mentioned the Plasma Rifle from Doom3 before, but the sounds it makes as you slide in the next canister and when it's subsequently charging are just divine.

Not really an animation, but it's the sound effect: M1 Garand, regardless of which game it appeared in.

(8 x *shot* - PING! and then a weird scratch/scrape when reloading) very impractical gun, but I love it anyway.

(the 's' key on my netbook is seriously starting to piss me off!)
