Way to ruin the whole idea behind the fake trailer. At least Bleeding Cool kept the surprise for people until they actually watched it.
To be fair, if the news report had said 'generic rom com trailer' i would never have clicked on it.

OT: I'm sure Statler and Waldorf will make a hilarious cameo, as they always do.

"I'm glad to see this, because for the past few decades The Muppets have been very medium."

"Medium?"

"Yes. Not rare, and certainly not well done!"

"DO-HO-HO-HO-HO-HO!"
To true, to true. And also hilarious.

Also, I don't expect this movie to be any different, because Jim Henson is dead and Disney is now running the show. And for those of you who would like to argue, I challenge you to name one film Disney has put out that hasn't been shit in the last fifteen years.
Just be aware that there are only two responses you'll get from me no matter what you say.
1) That's a Pixar film.
and
2)I rest my case.
Muppet's Treasure Island. was a disney film they did with the muppets. So it is a sign that they can do good things when given the drive to.

Ugh. Muppets are so....so....STUPID.

Come on people! Grow up a little. Muppets are for CHILDREN.
Your name is Digikid, which I imagine is a reference to Digimon. Furthermore, your avatar is a cat wearing a Christmas hat. If that isn't childish, then I don't know what is.

OT: I love The Muppets. Also, Neil Patrick Harris and Danny Trejo. Hell. Yes.
I name that I have had online for over THIRTY-FIVE YEARS. My avatar is a gift from a friend that is funny. The name has NOTHING to do with Digimon....whatever THAT is.

You are 100% WRONG. Be ashamed.

Why should I be ashamed? Because you said so? I don't think so. Just lighten up. The internet isn't serious business.

Oh damn, 15 years exactly. And I was so certain.
Okay, Muppet Treasure Island was a decent film. Not the best, but at least decent. But looking at their recent attempts, I refuse to expect much. If people I trust start saying worth watching, I'll see it, but otherwise I'll assume it's going to be shit. Basic pattern recognition demands this.

Not to boast but did I just leave you flabbergasted at your own game? :p

But yes I agree that for the most part I am very skeptical on Disney's approach on this movie since ALTHOUGH Disney did have a hand in Muppet's Treasure Island, it was directed by Jim Henson's son whom stayed true to his Fathers work. Whereas the Director for this movie is a little foreign to me and I have no idea how he is going to direct this film.

In my own heart I hope they stay true to the originals and bring honor to Jim's work. This is my childhood I admit, and I want to introduce my children when I have them to this franchise. Sesame Street is all good and all but Muppets had much more appeal to me as a youth then learning the alphabet and numbers.

Although I do admit the Pinball Number Count was pretty catchy.

But I am running off a little topic on that.

I am looking forward to this film though. Swedish Chef has always been my favorite muppet and I hope he is in this film with a decent voice actor or if possible, Frank Oz.

It happens. I'm prophetic, not infallible.

Fifty points if you get the reference.

I am probably mistaken but it sounds like a line from one of the zombie films.

Nope. Not even close. But then, the reference wouldn't be worth fifty points if it was an easy guess.
