That was strangely hilarious. The girl shouldn't be such a ***** though, even if she did get beaten. Honestly, looking at his size unless she was some fatass she had the advantage.

What? I.. er.. What? I'm struggling to come up with a solid explanation, but all I'm coming back to is him being a sadistic bastard.

One has to wonder what the media will demonize with this story. They certainly have plenty of choices.

There's a "saving throw" joke in here somewhere...but I'm not witty enough to think of one.

I always though people who dress up and go to the Renaissance Fair were deranged.

Guess I was right... : /
I don't know the guy personally, but I can tell you by looking at him and what he's wearing, he's part of the SCA most likely. With that, I'm part of the SCA and the this is not what it does to people. I would never do such a thing, there are people who take the organization way to seriously and shit like this happens. The parents deserve whatever happens to them, but don't take this as a reflection of the SCA, majority of us are as sane as the rest of the 'normal' population.

And you aren't right about anything, maybe if you weren't so narrow-minded and willing to do some research or talk to people that do this stuff...you'd know that.

I know I must not be the only one that's wondering what would have happened had she won the duel. XD

On a more serious note...As much as I like swords, I'd never use one against another person unless it was a life or death scenario. Now, I do own several swords, all of which I know how to use, but I guess that since my swords are actually sharpened steel, I probably have a little more respect for the fact that they, you know, can hurt people and shit.

My question is where on Earth they must be living in order for her to be beaten with a stick, where she must have been screaming in pain, if not for help specifically, and not be heard by someone. I mean, 2-4AM? I'd at least have been pissed off enough at the noise that I'd poke my head out to see what was going on. Of course, I'd have probably shot the guy I saw beating a poor girl if I saw it. Because honestly, if I see a violent crime, as much as I'd like to think that I'd call the cops first, I'm pretty sure I'd try to put a stop to it myself if I could.

People confuse me. At least this isn't being blamed on videogames!

...right? XD

I can explain. The guy is a great swordsman, and skreech all you like EM posters, my wooden greatsword gives me authority, so, like an oldetyme warrior, feels primeval drive to impress his way upon others, like all y'all with subjectivity and paraemtion. So, he beat her for a few hours because she was decieving, though he may have been uptight.

the first month, i tore my left 'bicep' were it with three grips on a stone and one wooden sword. in one year since its craft, i could controll my four stone and four with two grips.

I'd say the mods will probably ban me, but the mods will probly ban me for it

Quite a insult to a master gamer by online Ender, whom once multiplayer climbed to the thin aethers of MW1's kill-to-death ladder and quit by level 17.

For art achieved, for art listened in respect, the way of millenia.

Saving throw against idiocy? Saving throw to stay conscious? There are a couple in there, but I think I'm somehow missing a good one.

This is not funny at all, I mean it would be funny if it was actually related to what the title says, but other than that, this is just cruel and unusual. I wouldn't put blame on outside factors, only thing this shows is the ignorance, and twisted mental stability of an individual, and the same goes for the wife. What probably happened in the wife's head alone was, "I don't want to be alone again, I will do what I can to keep this man cause I have no one else if he leaves." The step father on the other head shows that shows that he is an ignorant alpha male who shows off for his buddies, and when something doesn't go his way, he will show others who "defy" him what he can do.

And now here's something to make Ren Faire enthusiasts as reviled as gamers in the eyes of the mainstream media. Let's see if it catches on.

So.. where is the sword fighting? All I see is "man beats girl with wooden stick"? I was promised sword fighting, damn it~! *Shakes fist angrily*

This one certainly is.. strange. Though, to be honest, the "Sunday sermon with an unknown preacher on TV" that she was forced to watch surprised me to some extent. Wasn't expecting it..

Hello. My name is Fremon Seay. I am your father. Prepare to die.
Still beating up your child with a wooden sword is pretty evil.

As a fat dude with cliche facial hair, I must speak out of this blatant attempt to stereotype myself and others like me. The mainstream videogame media is always so quick to point blame.

This reminds me of when Princess Peach was abducted by Bowzer. The videogame media was quick to place blame on the "fat dude with cliche facial hair" friend of Mario, while completely ignoring the skinnier Luigi's culpability.

I can only sincerely ask that, when a fat dude with facial hair does something stupid again in the future, the mainstream video game media realize that the true culprit is obviously Grand Theft Auto and has nothing to do with facial hair, waist size, or choice of anachronistic clothing.

I pin the blame for this on dumb cunts. These people here, who think they're parents? They're dumb cunts.

If this was the medieval time than this would of been some what normal but alas this is the modern time and guy was just plain insane (even if she went against them she didn't need to taken such a beaten for a punishment).
