Hopefully the fact that Fox News claims incorrect facts, like they did here, quickly becomes apparent for each time they do so. This will hopefully reduce their reputation an standing to the level of a gossip magazine.
EDIT:
On the same thread of logic as these kind of people use, and the common counter-argument of parents being the ones ultimately responsible for what they expose their children to, based on their personal philosophies on what's right for a child to experience (which i agree with).
Isn't the teaching that logic can be suspended when it comes to the origin of life, the universe, and how it all works(AKA Religion), wrong as well? These kids are taught to fundamentally believe that the laws of physics do not apply to their gods creating the universe (or in some cases only earth), intervening in the world with supernatural powers, and are the ultimate answer to the origin of everything (yet need no origin themselves).
(This would be my personal opinion, and thus playing the devil's advocate of using the same argument as Fox News and other poeple like them, to promote said opinion and trying to tell people how to raise their kids)
Isn't it wrong that while no-one complains about the kind of exposure kids get to religion, when the reason for that is that adults have the freedom to share their philosophies with their kids as a part of their upbringing (which i agree with), but that same argument becomes void once entertaining media come into the picture?
(This would be the argument that many people use as counter the previous argument based on opinion, which clearly shows how people like Fox News do not follow their logic all the way. Why? It's incomplete logic.)
Conclusion: What parents decide to expose their children to is their decision, which will be based on their own personal philosophies on life. All organizations like the ESRB can do is give good recommendations, based on what audience the authors of a given media product aimed at when creating their product.
