So it's free in the same sense that going to Disney is free, you can drive around the outside of the park but you have to pay to get in.
That's sounds like a super deal! But is it free?Marudas said:Fair point, Mr. Pétursson.
Now, I'd like to show you my product. Its called not getting kicked in the crotch. Its like not getting kicked in the crotch, but with more getting kicked in the crotch. Eventually, I will stop not kicking you in the crotch.
Guild Wars never hid what it was doing behind doublespeak, and never insisted it was a free game.bob1052 said:This is basically what Guild Wars is doing except they are going to give you cash shop tokens equivalent to what you pay to get in.
I understand what they're saying and they have a point, and they never said the game was free, it's just free to play online. We only assume free to play means no up front cost, but it could mean that or just no monthly fee .RvLeshrac said:ASA and the FTC may both have something more... litigious... to say about this if they don't change the wording of their hype before launch.
There's a legal definition of "Free," and this doesn't meet it.
For those complaining about Guild Wars, Guild Wars was touted as "free multiplayer," which it was. You paid for the game, then didn't have to pay a subscription fee to play online.
Sorry. You don't get to play the 'misunderstood' card when you go into that much detail to -prove- that is free.Tallim said:It's entirely possible they meant free as in Non-Subscription but it just came out wrong. So much like you I can forgive providing they correct it at some point.Sober Thal said:I can forgive CCP on this one. English is their second language for the most part.
: P
I won't forgive them for PS3 only tho : (
