What's the first thing you hear in the morning? For me it's my awful alarm clock, then my dog's sneaky movements, and last i hear my mom screaming my name. god i hate the morning.

I have an alarm clock that plays the theme song from the old spider-man cartoon. The sound like nails on a chalk board in my mind. Best alarm clock I've ever owned.

It varies. Sometimes it's a car starting outside, sometimes it's my alarm, it once was my former roommate boning her boyfriend so it's never really been consistent.

My Mothers voice asking me if I am awake. She is nice but extremely annoying.

My dogs barking at either the wind, a car driving by or the woman who is fleeing my room, hard to tell with them really.

Typically me sighing and thinking "Awesome. Another glorious day of life. Praise the Lord." (Or at least should be thinking that), or a car driving by on the street. Which is only going to become more common because a new part of that street is being opened, allowing more traffic from one highway to another, right outside my window.

The singing of this type of bird called a Tui.

Ten years ago there were hardly any of them (I don't know the exact numbers, but I don't think they were that endangered a species) but now that there have been all these efforts in my country to save the native wildlife (which is almost entirely birds) there are tonnes of them. People complain about them but I like it.

Also they are fantastic mimics, a few years ago the curators of a nearby bird sanctuary thought that monkeys from the zoo had broken out, but it was just a group of tuis that had spent a bit of time around the zoo.

And then there's stuff like this, which is just fucking scary.
