It varies. Sometimes it's a car starting outside, sometimes it's my alarm, it once was my former roommate boning her boyfriend so it's never really been consistent.
wait... What?
Yeah, they thought I had left for work but I had the day off. I was sleeping on the couch and they had their door wide open. I'm happy to say they just got married actually and don't have anyone living at their apartment now.

SHE was boning her BF

What would you use? Couldn't use the obvious word. Screwing implies the same act as boning. Getting laid doesn't work because from what I heard she was doing most of the work. Yeah I'm going to stick with boning.

Is it me or doesn't boning more or less imply the 'male' part?

Technically yes, though in slang generally I use it as a term for bumping uglies.

Let's see... 6:00 alarm clock(calm music), 6:30 alarm clock(rock music) i never respond to the first one, 7:00 alarm clock(heavy metal, that usually does the trick).

There's nothing quite like waking up to the sounds of your roommate getting his bone on... (My former roommate had a very... um... loud girlfriend.)

But this wonderful morning I awoke to the pleasing strains of the Avett Brothers. Ahh, iPod alarm clock. I love you.

Dinosaur roars. I got this classic alarm clock (not digital, thanks) with rotating hands of a T-Rex pointing to the time. And at six in the morning... "RAWR. RAWR. RAWR."

Some mornings it scares the shit out of me, other times it makes me chuckle. Usually it terrifies me.

Alarm on my phone, although I normally wake up a few moments before and put on The Doors instead. Much nicer.

I find that is always the case. You set an important alarm and wake up 1/2 an hour earlier

I'm one of those people that can wake up when the want need to. I set my alarm for 6am every day under the hope I'll get up and go running. Every day I wake up at 5.50am, switch the alarm back 45 minutes and go to sleep.

I wake up to silence. Absoulte, blissful silence. Then my alram clock goes off. And I want to cry. Because waking up with silence is so peaceful.

I have most the god awful alarm clock that has that standard bell sound when it goes off. It doesn't pause and do this sound in any kind of rhythm; just an extremely loud BBBBRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG. It's horribly jarring; I actually stick it under a pillow to muffle it a tiny bit, because otherwise it's like a jackhammer going off next to me. But it's the one alarm clock I really trust to wake me up.

At one point, a fricking woodpecker or something drilled a hole into the side of the house RIGHT BEHIND MY BEDROOM WALL and decided to lay eggs. I like animals very much, but these stupid baby birds would start chirping for food at 5 in the morning and wouldn't stop until the afternoon. I piled pillows and blankets on top of my head, pounded on my side of the wall to try and scare them; they would not SHUT UP. We had to call animal control or something to take them away, or maybe they had already gone, but the hole was sealed and I could sleep again. Except now sometimes I hear a bird start pecking near that exact spot and I know the little SOB is trying to drill another nest behind my wall. I have to pound my fists raw on the wall to scare them away.
