Google recently changed their policy for holidays listed on Google Calendar. They had been adding in a ton of events, and have now reached the conclusion that there are too many days. According to daysoftheyear.com, there are 15 observances associated with just February 15th, and 25 observances that last the whole week, and 73 different things that February is the month for. Rather than try to navigate being the official arbiters of what observances are worthy, they decided to go back to only having official government holidays as the defaults. This lead to some headlines suggesting Google is erasing Black History Month, or some such nonsense, but it's really a very practical decision they made.
At the same time, Google maps has had to change from listing the Gulf of Mexico to listing the Gulf of America.
Within the context of both of those things being headline news, a Republican Congresswoman submits a bill that would make Trump's birthday a federal holiday, which if passed would then have Trump's birthday added to the default events in Google calendar.
You're falling for a troll.
